well Kudos to you Chris for coming up with something to bridge the gap, but the rewards really are not worth my time. Sorry Real life has got to come first the next couple of months so i will watch the antics from standard.

" No, it's not like that at all. With lockboxes, even if they're unidentified, you'll at least know the results immediately AFTER you open them. With these shrines, it's not clear whether you will or not. What if you just sacrifice your item and it says "You sense that something happened nearby..." but gives no other info. You might have to fully clear the entire zone find out what it is. If you have no idea what the effect is supposed to be, you might not know it even AFTER you've found it. Did that unique item just drop from the chest because it was put there by a shrine or was it just a random drop? It's not just a question of whether or not you can handle it. Some people might get very frustrated simply by not knowing what actually even happened. But on the other hand, it might push people to slow down and explore things more rather than just rushing through to the next level as fast as humanly possible. Eventually, I'm sure people will figure out what the effects are for different types of items, but depending on how complicated the system is, this could take a while.
