I don't think most of the deadeye bonuses apply to your minions, so that'll probably be a waste.

Necromancer is really the only viable ascendancy for this, since I'm pretty sure even the trapper bonuses don't help it so no reason to go Sabo either.

With a single clone, the single target, 5L dps against Shaper is 140k for necro.
With a modified tree for Deadeye, the dps is approx 100k (if including Tailwind).

Deadeye spawns minions twice as fast. However, the duration is only (1.9 / 2.6) = 73% as long as necromancer's.

So deadeye's dps = 100k * 2 * 0.73 = 146k dps when correcting for differences between the two classes.

Deadeye's advantage over necro is that it is capable of getting Acrobatics while still achieving 6k life. Deadeye also gets more movespeed and attack speed (for casting clones).

Necro has bone offering or spirit offering which are considerably weaker in the new patch.

Both seem to have very similar dps. I think I will go with Deadeye this league just to try it.
