Heya Matrix, after conversing with you on that Feedback thread I figured I should give your build a go. I've played around with Fakener and some of the budget versions of Shatterchuck before, so it was a nice little comparison.

Your build certainly delivers. Uber was done at level 91, and was pretty easy to push through double Palace Dom with elemental weakness, Excavation, Courtyards etc.

I redid it a little bit, as I didn't quite have all the necessary gear (ran a low level clarity off blood magic, took some reduced mana cost nodes in the tree), and also tried a couple of different gem setups. Works very well, even as a budget version without Volls Devotion.

The non-devotion gear setup/tree also took me through Uber plus a few crazy as fuck Tier 13/14 maps - except Wasteland, unfortunately. Haven't tired Core, sorry (don't have one, couldn't get one). The increased crit damage made up pretty well for not consistent endurance charges.





There isn't a lot of min-maxing in there, and my jewels are profoundly shit. Seems like it is going to come through the 2.1 patch pretty unscathed. Unless they nerf Surgeons to something less than 20% chance to gain.

Yo maks dawg I see your 2.1 update has removed the incinerate stuff completely. Did they nerf it so bad it doesn't work anymore? Should I be switching to the frost or shock build with the reset?

Yeah I don't think incinerate totems will be worth it when incinerate is no longer OP.

I'm leaning towards SWT now.

from my own experience from dankshrine softcore.
You need to buy the cards very early on the league, after 4-5 days they just get 2 expensive.

Wow, the decrease in damage and surviveability is noticeable. Packs are taking much longer to clear, and unlike the incinerate totems, they seem to have no interest in going after the SWT, so they're making me tank the hits instead. Also, I'm running out of mana casting them, which wasn't a thing before. Content like Voll, which was trivial and quick before, now has a realistic chance of killing me. This feels like a huge step backwards in every aspect. I'll try the FP build on my other witch tomorrow, and hope I like it better.

Why is there so much emphasis on power charges for SWT? I don't see anything consuming them. Is it just for the crit?

If I respec your FP Totem build, it should still work out nicely if I wanted to go full CI?

Posted my SWT tree/gear. Managed to get two cards so far .

No great drops, just a helm I sold for 20c and an axe for 9c. The grind is real.
