Yeh, perhaps. He probably just didn't read the OP properly. ">_> That did however remind me of updating the preview images so.

I've also taken a look at your filter (linked in your signature) and I really like it. Keeps the overall look of the vanilla items. :D

Gah. I just can't ever decide on coloring. So what I am going to do is release a more generic coloring scheme for you and then just edit this filter uploaded here separately from my personal version. I'll be uploading that later today or tomorrow and editing the previews so they reflect the changes.

In addition to this I will still have a link to my personal filter on this page, however there will only be one "item dump" preview for that one."

Hey there, make sure you created a ".txt" file in your "Documents/My Games/Path of Exile/" directory. Copy paste the raw data from the pastebin link into said ".txt" file and save. Then change the extension to ".filter" instead of ".txt" and it should show up in your UI menu.

I hope this helps. :)

EDIT: No problem! I'm glad I could be of help. :D

April 12, 2016 - Cleaned the filter once again. Added several "character specific" block presets for you to edit. Disabled specific Talisman blocks and added an overall Talisman block that would catch all Talisman. Edited colors for good Divination cards to fit with the Divination Card theme. I did the same for those sections that previously did not fit together. Added 5- and 6- link blocks specifically for uniques. Overall made it easier to recognize what is being highlighted and what item class it belongs to.

The preview has not yet been updated.

First of all here are filters I've partially featured in my own:
- Nubfilter (Map section)
- Neversink (Unique sectioning)

>> Check PoE ItemScript Editor to get a better preview of it. Just add whichever items you'd like to see previewed. This is also an alternative to Filtration. If you prefer to edit the raw data I'd recommend the Sublime text editor.

Quick overview

My goal for this filter was to highlight items I'd want to pick up and make it easier for me to see which items are valuable. I've set up several "tiers" for item categories such as currency, maps, rares, gems, uniques and cards. It basically covers everything. :P Those tiers are based on general and personal value. I didn't want the filter to become too complicated nor did I want it to be too generic.
The filter will start at lvl 1 and follow you all the way up to high end-game. Starting off with highlighting Coral Rings and other good leveling bases. In addition to the previously mentioned, it also includes crafting bases. It will let you know which bases (magic & white) are generally worth picking up for crafting such as ilvl 84 Hubris Circlets, and it will let you know which items are good chance bases such as the Sorcerer Boots. It will also let you know whether or not a rare has the sufficient ilvl to be part of a chaos or regal vendor recipe and which rares you may prefer to pick up over others based on size and base.
Chromatic items are highlighted based on what grid size they have and flasks based on what type and quality they are.
Furthermore, it will eventually hide low bases when you've reached a certain drop-level area. Namely when you reach an area with items ilvl 65 and above it will hide all bases that require droplvl below 60.

Color tiers for rares and magic items will change slightly depending on ilvl. There are 3 general shades including ilvl 60-74, 75-82 and 83+ with some variation of bases depending on mod threshold. Two examples being the top inc phys rolls on weapons and the top-tier resistance rolls on defensive gear.

As for drop sounds it's pretty simple. Basically it goes like this:
- Really valuable items = One shared dropsound
- Mid-tier value items= One shared dropsound

Exceptions to this are regular divination cards, jewels, maps and selected flasks. That is so that it's easier to distinguish what drops. As for jewels I tried to set up tiers, but it didn't work out so instead all jewels troll you as they use the high-tier value dropsound. :^)

My filter covers plenty more, but you may just have to see for yourself. I've set it up so that the categories are nice and clean and added descriptions to most - if not all - sections. So you should easily be able to find what you're looking for. :)
Note that there is a league and character specific category that is meant to overwrite anything below.

I may very well change the colors for various items over time as I am very indecisive about it and upload it as a newer version if I make any other actual changes, so previews may not always be up to date.

Feel free to use this entirely or just sections of it for convenience sake. If you then choose to host your own filter, be sure to give credit.

CHANGE LOG

March 24, 2016 - Simplified map sections using Nubfilter made by iAreNubcake. This will catch maps by droplevel and will include any future added maps, which removes the burden of having to edit this section. Removed the Divination card specific sections due to constant value changes. Items in areas with lvl 65 and above will no longer show you white and magic item bases that have drop levels below 60 to remove item clutter.
March 4, 2016 - Updated for Ascendency and Perandus league. Lanyrinth items & coins added. Sections were cleaned. Uniques and maps were rearranged based on value and rarity.
February 23, 2016 - Changed color scheme, made everything fit together more and look clearer.
February 22, 2016 - Major overhaul. Changed how the filter was set up.
August 23, 2015 - Created

Updated.
- I've re-adjusted the unique section to better fit recent pricing.
- Silver Coins changed color to a purple, prophecy-type color.

Works with all new changes afaik. If I have missed anything, please do let me know so I can get to updating / fixing it.

New preview images will be added soon.
