[2.1.0] Grocery's Boss Destroyer BLAST RAIN Compendium! Phys2Ele Build!

Done...didn't realize. Course, it had to be the only one..
Disclaimer: I'm not amazing at this so take this with a grain of salt and possibly wait till Grocery gets back to you.

Looking at your items on (I assume) xVISCERALx and it feels like items are scattered around. I don't think pierce is necessary at all for blast rain as it shouldn't really affect it (top down falling AoE Explosion kabooom). So Drillneck should be replaced with a good rare quiver that has Phys damage, increased global crit/multi and life (possibly res too if you can't get it on other gear).

Rat's Nest is perfect, no need to replace.

Carcass Jack is a great for the build and gives you that nice Quality of Life and damage increase to your Blast Rain.

For your accessories you should really be looking to be picking Global crit and Add #-# Physical Damage to Attacks on them as that's where your damage primarily comes from due to the nodes we pick up, added fire damage will only give you a fraction of what phys can give you.

Maligaro's are good and I believe Grocery recommends them too \o/

Belt is fine; res, life and strength is good but you may look at replacing it anyway for a Rustic Sash for that 12-24% physical damage implicit. Belts are easy to get good stats on so look at getting as high values as possible so you need less res/hp from other gear before you're res capped.

Boots are good too but you may end up wanting to replace them for some rare boots or Blood Dance, I believe, so that you can get some res on them and thus allowing you to buy cheaper and more offense-orientated jewelry.

In terms of bow I'm not too sure here, the infractem is nice and it's a 6l. The pierce again is slightly useless to us I think but the stats on it for now are good. If you can afford it though, a half-decent harbinger with an AS/Crit mod on it will easily surpass and give you a huge damage boost. After getting my Harbinger (which was only 70dps increase on sheet) my dps jumped by 4-5k. Taking into consideration that it's 4-5k per projectile out of the 4 we shoot out at once, that's practically a 20k increase (I think :V ).

In summary, check the front page of the build and Grocery's SC and HC gear choices, it's a good section to use as reference when picking the stats that you want for your build.

Goodluck o/

Edit: Look at getting a Atziri's Promise, it's a 3-4k dps increase for me when active and if you can afford a Taste of hate that should be another couple of K's dps increase!

Agree with basically everything you said.

Correct, pierce is 100% useless because we will never ned it for frenzy and it does nothing for Blast Rain.

Not being able to leech is not the safest thing in the world, so it makes infractem kind of a difficult bow to want to use end game. Decent harbinger or heck even a chin sol will work wonders for you.

The point blank news seems reasonable and it makes sense. With chinsol and point blank keystone you do a ton of damage. I prefer harbinger without pb but using a harbi and pb or chinsol with or without pb are all very viable.

Yeah. dropping the keystone when you pick up a sweet endgame bow and using it with a Chin Sol until then might be a good idea considering how cheap the Sweet Chin Music is. I plan on running puncture on a trap too until I drop the keystone. Great build, I look forward to getting it up there! Blast Rain made me shelf my trapper for the moment due to how enjoyable carpet bombing mobs is :D

Different account, but still me.
Tracking the Drillneck, the rings, the bow, belt. RNG douche isn't very friendly to me, I don't have a good Harbinger sitting around with lots of exs...and luck sucks. Guess I should have started a long time ago. Thanks for the input.

Are you playing on standard? If so that is a big mistake for a new player. Prices are higher for good gear there.

Anyways, get a chin sol. It is cheap and doesn't require a fortune...

for leveling should I snag a Death's Harp or would it be better to use one with higher physical DPS?
