The point I was making is that for leech and status effect immunity, if they impact your build the mods will 100% be reroll mods with no middle ground for making the map more difficult

It is the same for reflect, blood magic, chain for some build. Guy postet that blood magic is free build and forget that not many players run this mod...

I don't rely on lech and bruning/frezze/shock so new mods are free for me. YOu play with prolif? replac this gem with other DPS gem. You use leach? replace lech gem with other defensive gem.

You Don't know how to make small changes to your builds? Go cry on forum and waste chaos on rerolling maps.

New mods doesn't add anything bad or new. They make running maps less boring.

is that our enemies are human beings like us. They can only be our enemies in relative terms."

Added a new end-game map mod: of Congealment. This mod provides monsters with immunity to life and mana leech. This mod only appears at high tier maps and is rarer than most mods.

Dam this mod its horrible for my build vaal pact with BM gem...

The crit mod look pretty cool

More immunity please! Its time to release %damage type% immunity mods.
What about 'cast lvl 30 spark when hit' mod on rare monsters?
'Volatile flameblood' on death damage is too low, it should oneshoot up to 12k hp for sure.

that reminds me of diablo 2 ^^

I say only 2 words... PHYSICAL IMMUNITY

the rage here would be so funny

That's stupid. It kills build diversity for the few people that have the extreme luck or trading partners to reach high maps...

Immunity is ok for games that don't rely on a single skill spam. Here we pick a skill and everything we build is to make that single skill more efficient.

We don't build elemental builds or sword builds but we talk about freeze pulse builds or cyclone builds.

Atziri has immunities and it's already a big problem for soooooo many builds.

Sometime i really don't understand GGG...i really want a big manifesto that explains everything that happens since 2.0 :(

even on my arc witch I have a seondary damage skill... no clue what you're talking about. most of the time it's 1 aoe and 1 single-target, everything else wouldn't make sense

How does the Of Insulation mod affect Righteous Fire?

No, RF is Burning (fire damage over time) not Ignite, which is elemental status ailment.

How does an optional randomly generated map mod that can be rerolled "kill build diversity"? Isn't the whole point of the map system that you need to make choices? "Do I want to reroll this map with currency I might not even get back, or do I run the map" Analyzing your build vs a map and making these kinds of return-on-investment decisions is what the map system is all about. If your build can ignore 100% of all map mods, then this indicates a flaw that needs to be addressed.

It's GOOD that your build won't be able to run all map mods. This puts them on the same level as other builds which DO have to avoid certain map mods. It actually promotes build diversity by putting all builds on a more level playing field in the end-game. Heaven forbid the end-game content force you to make difficult choices with map mods and currency...

+1 I agree!
Great work GGG, continue in this way!
1) Nerf leech.
2) Add leech immunity map mod.
3) ?
4) Profit!

Immunity to elemental status effect is lame. It just forces some builds to reroll these maps instead of challenging them. I'd much rather run a map that is hard to my specific build rather than encounter map that my build is incapable of doing.

How about replacing immunity to status ailments with this:

"Monsters proliferate status ailments to nearby players when they die"

Did you burn it? Don't stand on the corpse, or it will burn you back.
Did you freeze it? Beware of freeze when you shatter it!
Did you shock it? It will cost you taking 50% more damage!
Can you counter it? Yea, move away!

That would be fun mechanic that messes up with certain builds. Instead, we got: "your build can't do it".

Not a signature.
