I still think map drops are fine - boost drops and good players can do 79++ all day long

Another thing that 2.0 made a no-brainer (dumbed down), is that now you have to roll +3 magic mobs on EVERY box, with the only exception being carto box. Only "fully linked" affix might take precedence, and even then I'd think about it twice or thrice. +3 magic mobs or GTFO. So strategy, much planning.

It seems that 3 magic packs is also much more rare in 2.0 than before. I recall 3 magic pack being one of those very common mods on boxes but it is much harder to roll it in 2.0. I have more luck getting +7 items on boxes than 3 magic packs lately.
29 pages and not 1 GGG response on a concern that makes players stop playing as they do not have fun.

Players that do not play are lost business, i find this very strange or is it because Chris is on holiday :)

Chris has said that everything is working as planned. It was in a podcast, sorry I don't have the link for you.

So there is your response. Now how do you feel?

It's worth contemplating that GGG has actually achieved there desired goal and that mapping was in fact to easy in previous game states.

In a sense GGG failed the community in the last game states because they could not deliver
"the hardcore end-game experience" which they wanted to.

People are conditioned with these last game states in mind, so a desperate out-cry seems a reasonable response. A response that can be ignored though.

GGG is quite happy with deserted cities one month in the league it seems. At least, they spend less on servers.
Anticipation slowly dissipates...

I am almost 90 and I my leveling was a breeze, I do not have a problem with the current system. But there is a huge difference between delivering the hardcore endgame experience or simple put a cock block and call it hardcore endgame...

Ok, so nothing new or special, I've been doing all that things since Domination. (solo chaining 76 - 78 in every SC league, from PoE 1.02 to PoE 1.3)

I will just comment on the "insulation" one. This was always my preffered strategy of building a map pool, go slow from the bottom up, build a strong base of tier X before moving to that tier. It's purely a psychological prefference.

2.0 made me completely change that strategy. Since mapping is so expensive now, I go from top bottom, throwing currency on the highest map available, insted on some lower ones. If I'm spending a ton, I might as well spend it on the highest map I have.

---

Another thing that 2.0 made a no-brainer (dumbed down), is that now you have to roll +3 magic mobs on EVERY box, with the only exception being carto box. No not really new or special. More tweaked than anything.

Same - 2.0 I am not building any sort of map pool. I just get the best map and run it. Its better to use/save currency/expend effort/energy for the higher map pools where you get more return.

+3 magic mobs on boxes help a lot. For "lower" maps, I would accept +3 rares to conserve some currency.

I get where you are going. But actually, you skipped a step.

First, they stop making new content.
Then, they start downsizing servers.

But that's not "an endgame experience". You can't chain 75 and 76 without 3 to 4 chaos per map and you don't make that much on average so you have to play at a loss. That destroys any idea of a natural progression through the system. In fact, 68 to 72 maps are more rewarding because you spend nothing, you clear it in 5 minutes and you make 1-2 chaos per map. If entry level content is more rewarding than endgame content, the system is bad, end of story.
