[Outdated] Zivko's CI Chaos Incinerate build - 200k dps / 10 000 ES

What's the point in converting all Fire to Chaos? Theres a lot of mobs/bosses(Atziri in the list) with chaos resistance which you can't penetrate. Basically you're just losing a lot of effective dps.

Reflect is not an issue anymore, even Thornflesh has been removed from the game. That one rare is just a joke...

There are way more monsters that resist fire than chaos, the clear speed is indeed a lot faster than a regular incinerate.

The reflect is not what it used to be but it is still present especially in maps, this build can run all map mods except blood magic with ease, even temp chains barely affect your clear speed.

What's the highest level of maps you can do? How do you bare up against heavy physical damage?

Wrong. You can mitigate fire res with Fire Penetration + Flammability, plus you can change that dagger for a decent wand and get much more dps.

Just tried it, and this guy is right. More damage with a wand/fire pen than with the dagger.

Most monsters in the game have 0% chaos resistance and map bosses go up to 15%. You can check datamined monster resistance values on poedb. There are some exceptions to the rule, like vaal constructs and snakes going up to 30-40%, but both have low enough life to not be a problem and those few exceptions are offset by the fact that chaos damage goes straight trough energy shield so a sec or two lost on few chaos resistant monsters is gained on monsters with es.

Since playing ci requires a lot of leech, main idea behind the build was to fully utilize atziri's promise and 2% chaos leech it provides while gaining complete reflect immunity.

Since removal of thornflesh and double reflect coming from only individual rare mobs, reflect is now a joke and nothing to be worried about anymore.

However, leech advantage 100% chaos incinerate has is too great to dismiss (4.8% compared to 3.2% - 3.4% leech, values are with atziri's promise against 60% curse effectiveness reduction mobs)

Damage of both chaos incinerate and fire incinerate is comparable, if you compare them with the same number of links (6th link on regular incinerate would be fire pen and on normal incinerate faster casting or faster projectiles). Also, immunity to map mods like EE and monsters have extra fire res remains in favor of chaos incinerate.

In my opinion, regular incinerate with no conversion is better for the life builds which can use life flasks.
That 2% extra life leech on Atziri's promise is what makes chaos incinerate a lot better for CI builds, which cannot pot to regain 'life' and therefore promise is taking on that roll with extra leech.

Also, if the conversion to chaos was not worth it, The COnsuming Dark, wouldn't be worth 6EX in standard.
That's the same as saying every single physical damage build is bad because every single monster has armor rating reducing your DPS.....

Most of the monsters have low chaos resists, you bypass energy shield making your dps amazing again any ES monster / boss and you don't need any mechanic to mitigate reflect.

Maybe fire penetration gives you better dps but you also need an extra socket to put the gem, it might be the same as adding an extra gem to the current setup like slower or faster projectiles.

The dagger with decent rolls gives you 55-60% spell dmg, know many wands that can double that?
