BoR is a great unique, but i cant recomend it for my build. Here are the reasons behind it:
1. BoR grants Melee Physical Damage and Faster Attacks support gems. Molten Strike benefits from Faster Attacks greatly, but its doesnt really benefit from Melee PHysical Damage. Sure, melee hit will deal more damage, but projectiles (magma balss) wont, and they deal major portion of Molten Strike's DPS.
2. BoR grants additional block chance (and endurance charge on block), and my build doesnt use block (11% block chance is nothing).

Essentially, you get 5-link BoR, and not 6-link as it's intended.

I also cant recomend Abyssus for my build too - its critical multiplier applies only to melee hits, not projectiles.

This guide is so well written that I just had to try it, even though I'm not into melee characters. So far I'm loving it.

I am having trouble with int requirements for claws. Am I doing something wrong in my build? Or should I be getting int from accessories? I realized I am still so new :)

My build it not completely "melee", as it uses projectile-based attack. But attack range/AoE is quite limited, isnt much different from most melee builds therefore.

It's intended, that you WILL get some of int you need from gear. You can get in on many pieces - amulet, helm, rings, and so on. You can use Catarina's bench to craft int on your gear, if you want.
You can also learn +30 int notable while leveling, it's totally OK to do so. Later, with appropriate gear, you may refund it.

I already wrote i cant post videos, sorry.

I was able to do Residence and Academy (with bosses, of course) as far as i remember, maybe some other high-level maps, didnt get my hands on many high-level maps due to bad drops. Malachai is pretty easy if you dont lag there (like i do). Tried Poorjoy's Asylum once (Zana opened it), and after 2 deaths there i abandoned it. Poorjoy's has abysmal damage, and mobs easily stunlock me, and with some bad luck you die there. For safe Poorjoy's clearing you need either ranged build, or armour build with Unwavering Stance (although it will be still VERY risky to try Poorjoy's as melee).

In summary, you wont be able to do the following maps (without risking to die):
1. Where you can get oneshots - some bosses can do it, and some mobs (for example, devourers in map with many damage mods) too.
2. Maps with abysmal monster damage, where you may be stunlocked easily (though, in these maps, you usually may face oneshots from 1.).

I must admit, being melee in PoE is RISKY! Even despite you have fortify buff (which cant be 100% up, btw), some mobs and bosses just do unfair damage (usually physical) at melee range, and with "help" of map mods, auras, curses, etc those will turn into oneshots.

Lightning Coil and Taste of Hate can help a lot against physical oneshots. They cost a lot, exactly for THAT very reason. I will even consider them BiS for many situations.
Proper resistance flask should help against heavy elemental damage.
If you fell you dont recover your HP fast enough against a boss (although that rarely happens), use Life Gain on Hit gem for a boss fight (you'll lose some DPS obvously).

I already wrote being melee as №1 con of my build. That doesnt mean my build is bad, i just realistically summarized all its cons with detailed eplaination. Every build has its weak spots, and you should know yours.

Yep ended up getting Wisdom of the Glade for +30 int, got some accessories with +20 int on them, I am good now.

1) Do you know if critical strikes affect Molten Strike damage? If so how?
2) One thing I do not understand or the different types of damage increases available via passive/skills/gems. There is physical weapon damage, physical damage, and attack damage. What is the difference between these and how do they translate with molten strike?

1) Molten Strike crits just like any other attack skill. When you crit, you deal <damage>*<critical multiplier>, and apply burn/freeze/shock to enemy. Crit is rolled per attack, this means that usually you will either crit all enemies hit by 3-hit multistrike flurry, or dont crit any. More crit chance/multiplier = more DPS for any crit-based build, my included. learn it.

2. If you use a weapons with base physical damage (as you should), then all of the following are equally good for you, and Elemental Damage / Elemental Damage with Weapons too. The only thing you should avoid is <melee ........>, because it will NOT increase damage from magma balls. Things like Projectile Damage and Area Damage are also good, but they will increase damage from magma balls only, not direct hit.

BTW, my guide assumes you know some basic game mechanics, such as critical strikes, skill tags, damage conversion, etc... If you dont, you should read beginner's guides, because i cant explain all that here , and i probably shouldnt - there are very good guildes for that. I can give you a link if you cant find it yourself on offitical forums.
