Well, yes, that's how stuff works, GGG sets the drop rates according to many factors, like how much this item is build enabling and etc. And then economy happens.

In general, its just supply and demand. Rarity and build enabling value dictates the cost.

And taking Voll's neck as an example, if GGG would want it to drop a lot and make it available, they would not make it Zana Mod only and League only inb4 2.0

Well admittedly I didn't know about about that as I'm not very familiar with the item. I was just throwing brittle emperor as an example since it was the only rare card I tried to get atm just to see, obviously if you found 1 every 20 or so runs that'd be broken, but I don't see the bad in making it a tiny bit more "farmable", rather then just 1 for 100 runs, on average. Variance could net your more, or none at all, game is rng based and will stay rng based.

Though my main point was generally directed at the other non-exalt sellable cards, perhaps I went too far extreme (as I always do :p) with my examples.

Normal is the one that needs most toning as for new players its just too much of a brick and I assume very demotivating. Cruel should be more demanding and only a minor toning down/specific places is necessary - basically reducing unreasonable damage spikes. As for merciless the name suggests it should be merciless! The only problem I see is to encourage people to do it instead of maps. If its just for div cards then its prob not enough, given that even a cheap 68 map will prob give better returns.
Could you revert the nerf to mana leech but leave life leech as it is? I think 90% of people out there are having issues with their mana in this patch and everyone is forced to spam mana potions, which is quite annoying. Even after taking mana leech passives, I still have problems with the leech, unless im hitting a huge pack of monsters. On a boss fight, I'm forced to use a mana potion.

This is false.

Brittle emperor first provides a volls devotion and then places a corruption on the amulet.

It cannot turn into a rare amulet.

And 1-2 weeks of farming for a volls devotion is incredibly little, considering it is most likely the most retarded item to ever leave the design table and be implemented in-game.

Now with EC on CWDT gone, it's even more broken then it already was. There should be a very limited supply of them in-game before it skews actual game balance.

And no i don't have one, but i know exactly what it enables and what the problem would be if they become to mainstream and so can anybody with half a functioning brain and an understanding of the current game mechanics and limitations.

Sounds like somebody has no clue how balancing in this game operates and just wants whatever he desires irrelevant of that balance. No mater if it screws over the mass population.


Regarding the cards dropping thing, it's ridiculous that I only have 13 cards after beating Merciless Piety.

I've found almost twice as many uniques as I have individual divination cards. It's fine that cards should take dedicated farming to get, but right now they might as well not exist. The last card I got was when I was grinding Mines in Act 4 Cruel. So I've gone all of Merciless so far (almost 3 full acts) without a single card.

People like me aren't looking to get Voll's Devotion or 6L Astral Plate, we're just looking to get SOMETHING. A set of GCP cards, maybe a set of Chaos Orb cards. White Prismatic Rings, plenty of cards out there that should drop way more often to let the Divination Card system feel way better.

My only set completed to date: The Scholar. Back in Normal.

I had more trouble with the end of act 4 cruel than anything in merciless and early to mid maps. It is a huge difficulty spike followed by several hours of facerolling.
