Map crashes [Gamebreaking]

Just happened to me in Village Ruin. There was a Morbid or Ghastly Tempest and some skeletons were standing around the portal, I assume. Maybe that has something to do with it? It had burning ground, but no Fracture/Beyond.

As a summoner, I sometimes have to take portals to get new spectres (especially vs. Village Ruin Boss, if you're not very cautious all the time), so this sucks for me ;(

I've noticed that Village Ruin does lag a bit more than other maps, especially with ground effects. Maybe that has something to do with it as well.
two times in a few hours...lost about 80% of each good rolled map...it's a waste of time and currency. A fix and some refunds would be appreciated

So... several weeks now, no acknowledgement, no nothing? This is the worst bug the game has ever had. Come on, GGG - you're really letting me down here.
i have now contacted GGG via email regarding this issue to not have it even be acknowledged is really disappointing, and even worse is the fact that this is continuing you happen several times a day for me now, really a sad experience recently with the game due to it.

I have two map 78 and one crash after return in Hideout for sell.....
Yeah I have been having this problem.... maybe not a lot compared to some in this thread, but enough to piss me off. Personally it never happened to me until last week. After the first time I figured it was some odd 1 in a million bug, then after the second I consulted some friends who told me to use flesh offering to consume corpses before portaling out (if the ground was totally covered) and to avoid portaling on top of bodies or items in any case, but today I lost a 120% quantity fully chiseled alched and vaaled residence map despite these precautions.

GGG, I think it is pretty shitty that you have not taken the time to at least reassure the players that this issue is known and being worked on. I mean I myself have put around 40-60$ into the game, and it irritates me that I have to deal with this and have people say "Welp its a free game whaddya expect", but I am seeing some of those uber titanium support sigs in this thread and I am sure that more than one of these guys is pretty pissed right about now if only for the complete lack of developer response. Bugs happen. It's a fact. This one is a gamebreaker, however. And, unlike with the usual connectivity issues (where it's 100% possible that what people are experiencing is a regional/PEBKAC/ISP thing) I would wager good money that this particular issue is 100% a foulup on GGG's part.

But yeah I should be worrying about playing my best and using my tree/skill/gear synergy to defeat mobs, not having to constantly remind myself to use a damn skill gem to defeat a bug (i.e., flesh offering) and then sitting there wondering (regardless of whether I remember to use the "prevent string of dc's that effectively deletes your 5c map" skillgem) if im going to be able to access the map that cost me more than most uniques to prepare, that I am not even 30% done with. I don't want to be like one of those people that hold financial support hostage due to a problem with the game, but usually that sort of thing takes the form of "increase droprate/nerf x/buff x" or I won't pay anymore" and not "make the game playable please or no more MTX purchases". So, yeah. Until I hear that this is fixed I'll still be playing, but having to take precautions and divert my attention to prevent something that shouldn't be happening at all is enough that I won't be adding anymore stash tabs/pets/skin xfers (pay2sparkle) at the moment.

I know you guys are in a tough business with a lot of things to keep track of and many different systemic problems to quash; kind of like playing whack-a-mole for a living. Still, you have kinda dropped the ball here. Sorry. :/
same problem lvl 81 map
I post with pc information and screen... hope for ansower
OK guys, I have played around a bit and actually tried to force the bug to occur; it seems to me that the unconfirmed reports that I have heard RE large numbers of mobs and the ensuing corpse piles resulting in this bug may be at least partially correct. I just ran a couple of high quantity fracture mod maps and waited until they were fully cleared; both times I was kicked to login upon trying to reenter. It seems that maps with extremely high item density are big offenders as well. IME it doesn't make any difference if you portal directly on top of items/body piles or not, contradicting what I have been told by others. As far as I can tell running around flesh-offering all the bodies away might help prevent it, but if there are a ton of items (and a ton of bodies generally means a ton of items) it will probably happen anyway.

I guess the most likely maps to bug out are High IIQ fracture and/or pack density. Any one of these three factors seems to be enough by itself to trigger the bug. It's guaranteed when all three factors are present, at least for me. Personally I am just going to be extremely selective RE what I carry back to town. And hope to shit I don't RIP, I guess. It sucks to have to leave a six socket laying on the ground, or two six sockets as in my last map. Now that I know why this happens I can avoid it. Shouldnt have to though. Come on, GGG. First reports of this were a month past. This isn't like those threads where people are bitching about general connectivity issues and asking why they need to provide an Mtr log for their connection when others have done so already (ha). This is a serious issue, so far as game BS goes. Even if the problem hasn't been identified it would be nice to know that it's being looked into.
