Map crashes [Gamebreaking]

Honestly I had not seen this thread until it happened to me, I finally got a Shipyard map, spend all kinds of currency rolling it to a beautiful yet dangerous map... and now I lose portals entering it because I had to go back to my ho and get more scrolls and store some stuff.

I'm beyond peeved, it's already hard enough to keep the high level map pool going and to buy these maps it's stupid expensive... now I just easily lost out because of this bug... enough to make me want to look at another game and wonder why I wasted my time.

Go figure, so walks in map np. User drops DC no so. Down grade so.

same issue here. I just got booted to login screen whenever I tried to reenter my arid lake map with fracture mod and seawitches - the theory that this type of crash is caused by too much clutter (items or corpses) seems to be spot on to me. the same thing also happened about a week ago in a canyon map.

very annoying and I am quite shocked to see that GGG hasnt even come here to simply acknowledge the problem. I'm fine if they cant fix a nasty bug within days, but ... are we daminding too much if we want a short confirmation that they are working on this issue? I dont think so...

Dev said they want to try contain players in act4 right. :^)

I don't know what it is, but it's certainly not down to any differences between PCs. If anything, I have what you might call an expensive geek-ish rig, whilst she has just a proper good rig.

The problem certainly lies server-side imo. I go around and Mjolner the place into oblivion and somehow screw up my own instance. But she hasn't entered the instance from the start, so her 'cache' (for lack of a better term) is empty, though this is some heavy-duty guesswork. She could then enter and move the portal to a clearing with no corpses nearby, and I was also able to get in after I've previously wasted 2 portals trying to re-enter the map on my own.

EDIT: Come to think of it, next time this happens to either of us we'll use the PC that got booted from the instance to log-in both of our accounts. I'm certain that the problem/bug is tied to the server/client/account, and not the difference in PC hardware/software configurations.

EDIT2: Another interesting thing to test: 1) I get locked out of my own map (DC to log-in screen when trying to re-enter the portal). 2) She logs on, goes into my map and ONLY re-opens the portal at that very same spot. 3) I try to go in. If I can enter the portal near all those corpses that supposedly 'blocked' me from going in, I shouldn't be able to enter neither hers, nor my portal. This might give a clue if the pile of corpses is actually the issue or is it in fact some instance bug.

just happened again for me on a 78 springs after my first portal back

It really only appears to happen on 78+ maps

any updates?

again and again freeze and dc in 71 arena corrupted map, before death first boss he have 1% hp instant freeze and next crash nice game nice performance

Opening the portal from another account seems to be a workaround so far, at least when it comes to DCing to Log-in screen upon trying to enter the map.

It happened today on my fiance's PC, she got DCed to the log-in screen and simply logged in my account alongside hers (on the same PC), my char was able to enter the map, and just opened a new portal. After that, she could enter as well with her character without getting DCed.

I don't know if this trick can work with the error "Failed to join instance", but we'll try it out.

You might be on to something there though I'm not tech-savvy enough to figure out what exactly is happening under the hood. I took the liberty to report your post to raise awareness among the devs and hopefully help them resolve the issue faster.
