[2.2 Video Guide] Beginner's Build: Dual Flame Totem, Blood Magic Chieftain [Atziri & HC/SC Viable]

Just finished a4 mine quest on merc and i guess i can drop the storyline.
Guys, give some advices please, since this is my 1st character in PoE.
Lvl 69 now, 4k hp, capped resists, 6k dps on totem with golem. What gear should i try to change first? (have like 3-4 chaos and 1 exalted in stash)
What im going to do now, after storyline? I have like 8 maps with 68 lvl, upgrade it with alchemy orb and full clear? Is farming drying lake worth it?

Hi All. I'm currently playing this build as an 85 templar and pretty much stuck to the original templar skilltree posted. Now I'm curious of how difficult it would be to switch to a crit build or if it's even worth it. The only useful crit nodes that are possible for me to get are around Shaman's Dominion, Arcane Potency, and Annihilation. I think I might be able to refund some health & armor nodes to work this out but I'm only sitting at a little over 4k hp and 7.2k armor. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello - Love this build, it's my first character to reach past 66.

How critical is it to become chaos resist capped? I'm at -60%... completely overlooked it, but capped everywhere else, but so far been doing 73-76 maps just fine, only occasionally getting smashed by a super hard map boss that I didn't do any prior research on.

Just curious about something, how do you have an aura that takes 25% and yet you only seem to lose 500 hp? Or does something in the skill tree mitigate that for hp? Im at 50 right now and scared to take the leap to blood magic due to it all eating hp then, and having 25% HP go to my aura.

The Mortal Conviction node that you pick up 3 nodes after Blood Magic. The Enlighten gem could also be used but I don't believe it is or necessary for this.

I have no idea what I should prioritize right now.

I don't know if using a consuming dark in my situation is a good idea, neither which change to my tree would make that ideal. At some point in time I'd also like to get a 5L-6L sire of shards to heavily increase my map clearing pace but that's currently way above my means.

I dislike the EC/IC+CWDT setup because manually casting EC is a pain in the ass for me and do not do make much difference anyway (I don't think I've been in one situation where I died but wouldn't have if I had cast EC before), do you guys have any alternative? Can't CWDT+summon skeleton work decently as a meat shield?

I'm not buying a lvl 21 flame totem yet because I want to wait for my gem to be 20 and try to corrupt it myself before investing in that

But to me it seems the ES build is squishy due to no leech on es and no phy reduction. Probably for ES to work will require ES leech in tree.

If anyone has a good and running ES build, do share too

Same here. You try to keep EC up for nothing 99% of the time, and when you need it it's not there or has just expired.

Looking into alternatives, too.

On a related topic, I sacrificed some damage and ditched HoT and HoI that I was running, and run Determination (L8Q0, i like to level my own gems) atm. 8.7k Armour unbuffed, and a little over 26k with granite up puts me at 72% reduction.

If i don't have enough int for Infernal Mantle, should i just get decent 6l rare with life/+res instead of Tabula Rasa? Or better to save money and thousands of fusing to try get 5l-6l Infernal Mantle and look for gear with +int?
