alright so i respecced a 72 witch on standard to try this out, but the stat requirements are stumping me...212 int for apep's, 180 int for infernal mantle, 111 for faster proj lv20, etc
my stats are 274 str, 132 int, 34 dex with no gear or +30 nodes what do i do lmao |

Can some kind of minions be incorporated into this build, without spending skill points on them? I know this is not required for the build to do well, I was just wondering on a way to spice up my gameplay and still benefit a bit more.

May i ask why you only level your Cast When Damage Taken to lvl 9 and Immortal Call lvl 11?
Why not higher? :> ~ I Trust In Trance ~

" I used Summon Skeletons in addition to dual flame totems, and I have not spent any passive skill points to buff them. It works well as distractions and allow my ES to recover. " Actually the level of CWDT affects the damage taken before activating immortal call. At lvl 9 CWDT it takes 1221 to activate IC. At lvl 18 it takes 2874 damage to activate. So it depends on how much hp loss you want before activating IC. |

Ok so I am at level 79. I know my gear is pretty good now as I've been lucky with drops and trades. I am in the process of re-speccing from flat damage (base of the build) to more crit as now I can afford it. My tree is sort of a work in progress as re-speccing isn't always clean. Trying to see what feels right and what doesn't.
Current tree (work in progress) - I specced out of some lesser nodes to use a 2nd gem which gives 12% Projectile Damage / 15% totem damage / 7% max life too. https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwUABAcEswVCCaoLYQ48EFgQzBEtFCAUcRkuGjgaPh8CJbwnLyftKS4rtiycLKcyNDLRNZI62DwtQZZFR0bXSsRKyFXGVw1Y5VnzWiteXV8_Y_1mVGaeaPJuqnGFcg965nsgfIN8uH31ggeCm4Nfg8yD24V7h2WLjIxGkFWaO6IAo_KnlK6zr2yvt7FCtfK3PsBmwJrDE8T2xq7Q9dH90iHVpti92WHZfNn82rnbT9-_4MPhc-vu7DjtPO8O8B_xrPJB9q74k_nd_gr-hw== In general : Armor This caps my resists, gives me good crit and armor and was able to 6L an infernal mantle while trying to get a 5L (Love the 6S linking randomness!) Then for weapons I have 3 total options + a Lionseye's Remorse I am not using any auras/heralds So if I am using the consuming dark, I don't need fire penetration, and due to my coloring (haven't re-colored based on the build spec yet) I just replaced it with Iron Will. With Consuming Dark and Lioneye's I have a 15,805 tooltip (FT-IW-FC-FasterProj-AddedCHaos-CritDmg) I will sometimes swap in item rarity in place of crit damage on the main totem which brings it into the 13.5k range. If I swap Iron Will for Fire Penetration and change to my sceptre (Back to Fire) then my DPS is very similar (15,563) Dual wielding it gets really crazy. Consuming Dark dual wielded with sceptre brings dps up to 20,880 (This is pure chaos, so Iron Will instead of Fire Pen) Sceptre plus Brimstone Sever brings dps up to 20,538 (Fire Pen instead of Iron Will) which would be Fire Dmg. With Lioneye's my defeneses are 42% phys damage reduction, 860 es, 151 life regen, 30% chance to block without it (dual wielding) it drops to 27% phys reduction, (still 860 es), 143.5 life regen, 15% chance to block. Of course there is the prjectile reduction benefit also in the shield. Granted, I know this has gotten a lot off topic with your build now LiftingNerdBro, but with my gear I'm able to tune it a bit. So first, the DPS is pretty decent for 1H but it is raelly high dual wielding. I haven't really done any maps above 72 so I'm not sure if the pure offense is better than the pure defense. My primary questions are in tuning my tree. At level 79 I can expect 10ish more points. I can afford to lose 10 in each resistance too. (But unsure if I want to lose the 24% boost to armor in Sentinel) If I go all chaos, does Celestial Punishment become wasted? (Since I am not penetrating any fire, should I not use the whole Celestial wheel at all and maybe go arsonist instead? or is chaos dmg not as good as fire in general?) How would you suggest I optimize my tree? I'm not very good at the build math. With crit and 10 points I'd say Shaman's Domionin and Arcane Potency make sense. But fire damage also converts to chaos too. When I initially started moving toward crit I changed my Totemic Mastery wheel to cast speed/dmg vs Health/Resists but my totems weren't surviving. (Also to make up for the cast speed loss by removing the totemic zeal nodes) Rather than re-spec again I currently have the whole wheel but this might be tuned further. Primarily the cast speed made more sense when using consuming dark as it had none. I also didn't plan on taking the quick recovery nodes with crit either. As far as life nodes, if I ended up going Arcane Potency then the two life nodes in the Purity of Flesh wheel give more total life than any other two nodes, plus give chaos resistance and strength...but that's only if I take arcane potency. Anyway, I'd like to try Atziri (Never done that) and would welcome any suggestions in my gearing and tree modifications. Last edited by damelon#0632 on Jul 22, 2015, 11:48:36 AM
