Win One of Two Alienware Gaming Laptops At The Awakening's Launch!

This is a great prize and awesome incentive for the players who enjoy the races to participate in a full clear full out when servers come up.

Thanks to Alienware for providing the prizes. This is a great promo opportunity for GGG to spam before release. I hope it addicts some new customers for you guys.

My beloved pets....

Oh, I wish I could do race but I have to work and now I start and end later so by the time I get home someone will have long killed Malachai. Oh, well.
Censored.
It would be entertaining if GGG implemented a kill counter of players killed by the final boss for the first weekend / week.

Final Boss : 645
Players : 0

Am I going mad or is the time stated here for "as soon as the servers come up" 1 hour later than the timer on the front page?

Or maybe the leagues only start 1 hour after release?

May be. Gives everyone a shot at downloading.
wow that's rad. I know it won't be me but good luck to all exiles.

I understand your point of view, but I don't think the outcome would be different if we hadn't had a beta. If the 2.0 release was just dropped on everyone, it would still be the people that play the most, the 'no lifers' that would most likely win.

And that is how it should be. Those that put in the most time and effort end up being the ones that win.

If this is the direction GGG is going with their prizes I'll go from having a slim chance to absolutely none. It would make more sense to have first X players that kill Malachai go into a raffle.

Im not one to complain easily, especially when you can win shit for free, but...
winner will probably be a pro streamer who already has decent enough hardware as it is.

Not just with already good hardware, but probably has a bunch of fans feeding him with good drops, and friends doing whatever they can to boost him through the content. Like back when wrath of the lich king came out. First person to 80 had healers and DSP following him, all he had to do was tag as many mobs as fast as possible. Everyone else does the work, he took all the glory.
whatever your loading times are, its pretty sure that in softcore "throzz" already won and hardcore "havoc" or another nerd :)

I don't get where this "Pay2Win Trend" is coming form. No way in any shape, form or fashion are you paying for anything in PoE that gives you an advantage over anyone else. Everything in the Microtransaction's Tab is all cosmetics/Account Upgrades. None of the Microtransaction's increase your Dps or make you a better player.

The only way you are going to "Pay2Win" as you so put it is if you are trading real world money for items, which I'm pretty sure are against the ToS.

Now, if your talking about computers... If you don't have the money to upgrade your computer to better hardware, well, thats bad Job/Life Choices. In no form or fashion am I Rich/Have a lot of money, but even I (After Paying all my bills) can afford to upgrade a part on my computer every couple months. It's not a full blown computer upgrade, but it lets me have a semi-upgraded computer.
