Damage Conversion and Increased Damage - Question.

They are additive.

In general all increased/decreased modifiers apply at the same time so they all get added up/subtracted at the same time.

Only exception i know to this rule is Ignite and Bleed, since the calculations for the damage over time have a exponential form (initial hit and the damage over time can both be increased by the same modifier, meaning it applies twice).

So if you for example have:
150% increased energy shield
100% increased shield defences

When you equip your shield the ammount of ES you will get is : BASE_SHIELD * (1.0 + 1.5[increased es] + 1.0[increased defences])

Shield defences are: Armor, Evasion, Energy Shield

Seeing as most of your ES is coming from your shield, they tend to have decent value.

It's not an exception, each modifier applies to each value as per usual. You're simply looking at two entirely separate values (Hit and Damage over Time), both of which benefit from the same modifiers. ;)
(mostly the same: Damage over Time cannot be Attack/Weapon Damage nor Spell Damage)
