[outdated] Caustic Arrow Solo Map MFer (20/300+)
Gem links, you got it.
You can CA with a +1 bow after Entropy & Growth and Decay, but especially after Dirty Techniques. Just make sure you're running that Searing Bond asap, which benefits from all three of those clusters. I always go maps first, but that's really your call. Whatever you have more fun doing, I say. =) Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

" Alrighty Tyvm! Anything else that's different now since warbands that I should know with this build? Is single target still good on bosses? Do u mind linking your gear and jewels from Talisman aswell? ^^ I know it's similar to the standard gear but I just wanna see the progress u've made and what I should focus on :) |
|
No, nothing else is different.
Single target's worse, but the wither totem makes up for it so it's only about 500-1000 dps worse in a completely finished build. As for Talisman, sure, I'll link it but keep in mind I haven't finnessed the gear like I have in Standard, and that includes gem setup. Biggest thing is the Vaal Lit Trap, I don't even have that in Talisman right now. So don't pay much attention to gem links on my talisman setup. I kind of half-assed it to be honest to just crank out for 32/32, and I'm doing things like levelling a Bladefall gem to do a reroll and etc. Jewels will be missing from this because I'm not logged in to the game to pull them out to link.
Talisman setup
So again. Don't concern yourself with my gems. :P
Like I said, I haven't bothered to optimize the build for Talisman like I did for Warbands / Standard. That's why my Talisman gear isn't on the OP. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.

Q: IAoE is just an area modifier. In a build that you are not constantly using your skill, can't we replace the gem slot with another damage modifier? It's almost 3 shots to cover the same area that 2 shots with IAoF covers.

Just a quick question: does culling strike work with the cloud of caustic arrow?
|

" I leave that to player discretion but personally I feel like the AoE gem is a drastic improvement to clear speed for most situations. You can be more "fire and forget" rather than having to hang around and re-fire to make sure the pack dies. If you would prefer to add another damage gem, that's your call. Ultimately I've left it as AoE for the above reason, and for keeping the guide simpler. A lot of people find full res balance more difficult, meaning they won't run Carcass Jack, which imho is a requirement to drop the AoE gem. As well, for those who choose to run Greed's Embrace instead, AoE gem is a requirement imho, otherwise the cloud is just way too tiny. So, for simplicity sake, I've left AoE as the gem of choice, but players can feel free to adjust as they see fit. " No. Culling requires a hit. The cloud doesn't hit, it's a ground effect. Thank you for your kind replay.
Another question; If I chose to go for "survivability" I guess life leech can benefit from the cloud damage right? As the description only mentions damage without specifying. Note: In the "CWDT + IC + ID" I believe phase run have a good place in the combo to escape some bad situations. After all kitty doesn't like to be cornered. Thanks again. |

" No. Same as culling, leech requires a hit. Jul 27, 2011 - Sept 30, 2018.
