I think this is an awesome incentive to get a future supporter pack (like they did with the tabula rasa shirt and the chaos orb key chain). I would definitely be attracted by this, the art of these cards is way cool

As for the cards themselves, I really like them on the whole. The only one which seems pretty undesirable to me is the one which gives a white prismatic ring. If it was ilvl 100 or something it would be a bit more exciting. I hope that the card drops very commonly, giving players the ability to get a prismatic ring before they normally might. Just my opinion - I'm fine with supporters designing their cards in whichever way they see fit.

As for the stash tab debate, I really don't think these cards will ever take up more than a stash tab. Cards can be stacked on top of one another in a single stack (if they're the same card), so we're looking at 150 'units' of tab space maximum, unless there's something I'm missing.

Some people have mentioned that the default number of tabs be increased. Given how much has been added to the game since OB, I don't think this is the worst idea, but I understand that for GGG's business model to work nicely it would help if people didn't get too many, say 6, so that serious players still felt the need to get more tabs. Those who choose not to must just be more discerning in which items they choose to stash vs vendor, whereas players who buy tabs can keep a lot of items which are borderline sellable or not sellable but useful for future levelling characters.

This is paying for convenience, not paying to win, and that's what GGG's philosophy and business model is all about. Also, if you've played this game for hundreds or thousands of hours I don;t think it's too much to ask to give a small donation. Sure, some people may not have much financial freedom, but how many things can you do in today's world for thousands of hours without paying more? It's money well spent imo.

not a mistake, you can't AFAIK.

Will there be a specific item class or basetype for these cards?

I think it would be awesome, that for each card, there should be a mission for it to complete/recieve the reward.

Could be like kill museum bosses, or full clear dunes within 5 minutes, full clear a map with x mods, ex blood magic, no regen etc.

We're only allowed to either change the gem level or the quality, we're not allowed to change both.

nothing like this can be used since it would touch the rarity of each item
some people would be able to easily do these "missions" and that way an item would become
more easy to get
daily missions for it would probably not work either since cards are supposed to be rare
but maybe weekly or monthly missions that reward 1 card could be used
edit:problem with that would ofcourse be that people would start working several accounts
maybe up to 10-20 accounts just to farm that monthly reward :/

You still need the cards to do the missions, hereby making several accounts will not help.
