What do you think about Combat Stamina in an HC version? for 3 Pts you get 5% Life, 1.8% Regen and 30% Armor.
Maybe it's not worth it. By the way, I've faced the belly of the Beast without any information about it and it was pretty scary, actually.. |

I really like the hardcore build. I wish i'd given it a look before investing so far into the light build version of the duelist area. It's not just more hp, it's also got unwavering stance. I haven't played end-game in POE since last September, but I vaguely remember cannot be stunned to be simply amazing. I'll probably respec to a version of the hc build, but I'll take unyielding in place of celestial judgement.
Have you considered cold penetration? The main reason I use heavy strikes is because bosses tend to have outrageous elemental resists. An unlinked heavy strikes seems to do more dps against Malacai than my 5L ice crash. With cold penetration, simply switching increased aoe to concentrated effect might outdamage 4L or 6L heavy strikes...I'll check it out later. Kongor's Undying Rage would make for an interesting mace version of this build. You get all of the secondary benefits of crit without the increased damage, but you don't need to take any accuracy or RT nodes or accuracy/crit dmg support gems. A ton of points are spent reaching the top staff nodes, so those could be reinvested into the closer mace nodes, which take us near plenty of life nodes too. By secondary benefits, I mean flask recharges, which I see as a major boost to survivability against heavy hitters, reflect, etc. Nearly constant armor/resist/run speed flask uptime is huge. If you're one-shotting everything whenever you hit, cannot miss > crit dmg anyways. It should be a reasonably inexpensive respec if you can get your hands on Kongor's but not Hegemony's. |

You say that Resolute Technique might be better for HC, so would it be possible for you to make a passive tree that is for HC and uses resolute technique? For maces/axes. If you could, maybe even with one or two steps so people can see where to go first. Would be fantastic, thanks. |

Hey man. Nice build. been running it for a while. It works well until the party replace warlord's mark and I have a mana problem.
Talking about mana..If i needed "constant" source of mana leech, do you think new mana leech passives in duelist area (Essence Sap) is better than mana flow because it increases rate of leeched mana / second too? Let me break it down for you. Which one is better.. 1. 0.6% mana leech from gear + mana flow nodes. 2. no mana leech from gear with mana leech nodes (Essence Sap). Have you or anyone tested this? " Without seeing the difference in gear, it'd be hard to say for sure, but as long as they're somewhat comparable, the first is much more point efficient, right? If you're following the tree given in the OP, the first option is 2 points vs the second option using 5 points... Also, I'm sustaining fairly well with just .4% mana leech from a ring. So if you go the first option, you might not even need to pick up mana flow. And while we're on the topic, I'm curious about the Battle Rouse node, which compared to Mana Flows is basically trading the 40% mana regen from mana flows for 3% damage taken gained as mana. I'm going through ~100 mana per second, so 40% mana regen on my base of like 8/second isn't really going to make a difference. Anyone got any opinions on this? Standard: ArcingTalon

So I'm currently using Hegemony's Era with this build. I've found that the inherent power charge generation is very lacking. What's essentially 10% PCoC is kinda meh. On the other hand, I don't really want to use the actual PCoC gem in my main skill now that I have the Era. My solution was to change up the utility flicker strike.
Flicker Strike - Multistrike - PCoC - Fortify - CoC - Curse Curse on Hit is great, but its a 3 gem package for Flicker Strike. Just plain CoC and the curse costs just 2 sockets. It's slightly less effective, maybe 90% as good as CoH, but that PCoC makes a world of difference. My current gear, tree and gem setup for reference. I'm still tweaking it.
