[3.1] BERSERKER/JUGGERNAUT 288k DPS Ice Crash/EQ Crit Staff AKA "The Shattering Karui"
" I hate it when people ask me "which is better". In military warfare, is a tank or a jet-fighter better? Or are the two maybe designed for completely different situations? :) Neither is "better". This build will give you more DPS, the other one will give you more tankiness. It's your choice what you want to play. 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995

Looks like a very fun build. Have a few noob questions:
How do you deal with cold-resist mobs without a cold-penetration gem? To kill map bosses under T7, is it still necessary to use heavy strike instead? Thanks! |
|
" Cold res isn't a problem, because you still deal a lot of physical damage (Ice Crash converts only 50% of phys to cold). Under t7 maps, you don't need heavy strike at all. Check the video for the build, I killed Jungle Valley map boss in a couple of hits. 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995

Planning a build now actually for Crit Staff but i will be using Flicker Strike instead... Just wanted to say thanks for the help on the passive tree. Got some nice tips looking at yours. Now im not sure if i want to go Max block Gladiator or More damage Slayer for softcore lol

Np, glad it helped!
I'm also having difficulties deciding on a build with all the ascendancy classes... 1H+Shield High Block&Spell Block Tank: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/868995

New passive trees are up and ready, along with the Ascendancy classes to the left of the tree:

Regarding the Berserker Option:
Why not Cloaked in Savagery? Leech is huge but you are limited by the leech cap which can be somewhat solved by using Cherrubim's Maleficence, effectively more than doubling(with passive tree nodes) the leech amount per second. On the same leeching theme, Slayer seems a good option. Basically you are always leeching (even out of combat) Stun Immunity and Onslaught. You can increase the leech cap from 20% to 30%, a 50% increase. Indeed your choice of Berserker - Aspect of Carnage is pure damage. Wouldn't a high leech fit better with this build? Does it really need more damage? I am interested in your thought process behind your choice of Ascendancy subclass. |
