Cut my latency in half. Just curious, why D.C. and not NYC?
DC is centralized to the entire Eastern Seaboard - NYC is in the North East.
Hey Chris how can we know which is better for us between Texas and DC? I am almost equidistant from both. Can we simply switch at will or is it more permanent?
It's like how it currently is. You have a drop down menu to select the server before you log in, so you can switch by logging out.
cool, this will be fun to test out.

I would like to know why all US servers cater to west coast and nothing closer to Ontario Canada where the highest canadian population is?

Frankfurt gateway made me go to 32ms instead of 50ms! So damn good!

Oddly enough, before these new servers were added, I was getting around 66ms lag most of the time, using the US server(assuming that was the TX one). I'm on the east coast, so tried the DC server first and now getting 120ms or so. Tried switching back to the TX one and still getting 120+, same for the California one. Not sure if it's just an ISP issue or more people trying the servers all at once now, or something else going on, but seems like no matter which server I'm using, my lag nearly doubled. On the plus side, even with that extra lag, lockstep still feels decent so far.
You have to be careful to test in a new instance. It'll put you in your old one (hosted on the previous server) when you rejoin if it's still open. Move to a new area you haven't been to in the last 15 mins or so?
Yeah, been progressing through completely new areas and still about the same.
Update: Logged in again this morning. MUCH better now. 35-50ms normally, spiking up to 75 at times

They don't. Right now, there's one on the west coast, one on the east coast, and one right in the middle.

These new EU servers didn't change anything for me. I have the exact same latency on all 3 servers. There is clearly something wrong. Fix it please.

Make sure you move to a new area you havn't been to in the last 15 mins or so to test after swapping to a new server, otherwise you will get the exact same server and ping.
