The forums aren't fun anymore

I think they are doing the right thing with moving threads to their appropriate location.

It isnt hard to use a forum other than General discussion.

Also as mentioned previously the beta also has to do with this, many a people are probably on the beta-only forums.
Not to mention there's no new temp league now, there was always a decrease and dont think we've ever been this long without a new one.

I think its best to hold judgment for now, until act 4 comes out.
Bex is definitely listening and I feel that we are being heard. Lets just wait for now.
Oblivious
its not hard to use another sub forum its just that very few folks do
I dont see any any key!

Who has time to visit 80 individual sub forums?

They could remove half of the sub forums and it would take a week for anyone to notice.
Half or more of the subforums should be removed. Gameplay, communities, and feedback should all be rolled into general. As they are general topics having to do with the game. (suggestions should be separated from feedback because half of them are annoying as F)

to be fair, a lot of the sub forums on the index are quasi-mutually exclusive, unless you are concurrently playing a witch a templar and a shadow in SC and HC of 3 different leagues while doing races and maintaining 3 shops.

Some of these could probably be put on a sub-index, one click down to clean up the main index, but they do serve a purpose
Hey...is this thing on?

The class sub forums are an odd one. Most builds can utilize one of several classes so that you end up with major build threads ending up in one class forum or another fairly arbitrarily.

The main issue for me is the clutter. Maybe drop downs like spoiler tabs for each major subject would be one way to deal with it. I don't see a problem with needing to click a link to get to the list of twenty trading forums, for example.

We dont need a million different sub-forums that no one reads

Seriously the enforcement is an inconsitent joke. Several users spam 2 sites of the thread with unconstructive pictures, yt links and other stuff.

I write "And you wonder why you get probated" and receive a probation and the spam was left untouched?

A proper moderation would have deleted all of those postings and not probate anybody.

There are still several worse postings left untouched having vocabulary like "Nazi Mods".

If the moderation wants to be taken seriously they should delete spamchains once they are created of move the thread into OT. But the spamchain here was left untouched for at last 3 days.

TBH there are serveral pages in this thread which add nothing to the discussion.

"
Spam - Comments that contain no meaningful content or that have the same or very similar content and are posted frequently. This includes making threads for the purpose of emulating an existing thread and making "First!" posts with no other valuable content.

So now it's your time to explain why postings like 1 picture memes, "busted", "I liked x better" are left untouched? They aren't any better that the usual "First" postings in announcements.

Or did I miss a posting that said "We will rework the spam clause"?

I stopped using the forums a few months ago because of the constant abuse, troll baiting, flaming, and useless nonsense on here. I came here to ask questions and got useless answers and no help. Figured if a community hates its own players that much (new ones at that) to run them off that I didn't want to be a part of it. If you wanna talk about useless non-game related nonsense take it to another forum or off-topic or somewhere else cause here isn't where it belongs. I eventually stopped playing this game cause of desync. Was thinking about giving it another try if some issues get fixed and community improves. Guess we'll see...

(P.S. I applaud GGG for cracking down on the trolls. A little fun is cool, but when it becomes rampant trolling, almost non-stop - that's where I draw the line.)

Why shouldn't there be a bit of spam? This is a 37 page thread about new forum guidelines. 37 pages! So if it gets a bit derailed at one point, only to get picked up again a few pages later, what's the problem?

edit: I can explain the difference between a 1 picture meme and a "First" posting to you, if you don't mind. A "first" posting contributes nothing, it's just wasted space. That's not true for 1 picture memes. They might be unfunny to you or derail the thread a bit, but at least they contribute 'something'.
