State of the Beta - Post #2
Gratz giving EVERY SINGLE CLASS Reduced Mana via quest in a recent patch and then replacing it by a gem available ONLY BY RARE LOOT and have the balls to say "some character don't have access to reduced mana".
WTH? Okay, you can hard balance/nerf stuff, it's FINE, really! But at least don't give stupid excuses. |

" honestly, who cares ? it's the same for every players, every classes. IGN TylordRampage

" Lots of people care, because they replaced it with Enlighten, something that is objectively more rare than reduced mana, for everyone. Lots fewer people would care if they just removed the lower mana multiplier mechanic altogether. It's a bad change with bad reasoning and they should either revert it or feel bad about it. Actually the reduced mana nerf makes totally sense, we're just so used to it since original closed beta I think that when it's taken away we have this 'whyy??? cryyy' reaction.
Anyways great work guys, keep it up, I hope it's released very early july and we don't have to wait a half summer to play our favorite game seriously again ! |

" This is probably the best part of the announcement. Not because I care about such things, but because there are hoards who do, and keeping them pacified on every little delay or lack thereof is probably a very clever thing. Overall however...LOCKSTEP HYPE??! "But we still had a lot of fun, please don't think this comes from hate.
We bitch because we like you and we want you to be great!" ~Miracle of Sound |

" The only people that actually like this change are a) the super-super-rich that like it when things are more exclusive, b) the complete scrubs that never even make it to maps and have never had high-level reduced mana gems, but still have the audacity to complain about balance (racing is already balanced around, low-level leveling is fine, just because you [general you] can't level fast doesn't mean it's not balanced), and c) the people that love watching QQs. Why would making Enlighten the new super-mandatory gem for all builds everywhere be a good idea? Last edited by codetaku#0468 on May 11, 2015, 7:47:48 AM

" Well no reason to attack me man. I don't fall in any of those categories, and even if I did who cares. All my chars use reduced mana, I even have some that use a level 21, but what I think is good is that this gem was like always 100% mandatory on any aura combo in a 4L in any build and that's what Qarl stated and he has a point. Ok I don't especially agree with Enlighten, but that won't be a real issue in challenge leagues anyway. Actually I don't want Enlighten to change, I want to keep using it to level 20/20 gems in a weapon swap 5-6L ;) But yeah because I can find myself in the reason why they want to remove mandatory gem slots you want me to put in some fabricated internet categories. If you feel better doing that, go ahead but you're the one that looks like a moron that can't form one argument in a whole reply. You say enlighten will be super-mandatory, that says enough you don't get it. Its not ment to be mandatory and they'll probably nerf the new enlighten to like 2% per level or something insignificant anyways. There won't be many enlighten at level 2 for a while, let alone a level 3 or 4 in challenge league (the gem is already rare by itself). You'll be better off finding other ways to reduced the mana reservation if you absolutely want that extra aura. At least that's what GGG wants as far I understood Qarl anyways. And again I can find myself in that reasoning. Last edited by leto2626#2588 on May 11, 2015, 8:09:28 AM
