State of the Beta

We have been very pleased with the new quest rewards. They have been successful in guiding players to make generally good early decisions. We do still have skills to add to fill out the basic system.

I get that not having 12 options helps new players make better choices.

Past that I am fairly certain one of the unifying options of beta is that the rewards need a lot of work. Frankly, they are way off. I'll see if I can't direct this information to you in a more noticeable way on the beta forums.

You will be able to buy skill gems from the vendor.

Stellar communication from the GGG devs yet again.

On another note, I'm not sure if it's in the budget, and I've never seen others asking for this, but some cinematics in PoE would be really cool.

It's been more or less established that cinematic clips are huge costs for little benefit. They wear off very quickly (majority of players will skip it every time after they've seen it once). However having said that there are a couple of cinematic videos courtesy of Garena which you can search up.

This x10000

Money could be spent better on anything else related to actual gameplay, balance, qa, etc
Thank you very much for the update Carl; no worries at all about moving the projected release date back a bit. Keep up the great work!

Hey Qarl, and all of glorious GGG,

I was going to bring a bunch of friends to PoE for the release of Act 4 and 2.0, which I thought would be a great opportunity for new players to join in. I specifically asked them to hold off joining the game now because the changes introduced will be quite fundamental, like shotgunning or jewels, and I didn't want them to have to learn the game twice in a short period of time.
Hearing that you're likely to postpone the full release by another 2-3 weeks is somewhat disappointing purely that there's so much work on your hands. I'm sure everybody's working their ass off at the office, and we love you for that, but I've a question:

Given the extended ETA is it likely that we'll get some small league going in the meantime? I know this was discussed before, the possibility of another one-month, but now with a longer ETA maybe it would be appropriate to revisit that idea.

Thanks a lot, and don't forget to sleep :)
I'm tired of all the unnecessary crap I'm reading in those updates

TRADING FUCKING DO THE TRADING UPDATE. THE LACK OF REMOTE TRADING CRIPPLES THE GAME FFS

no trading -> no more stash tabs.

no announcement of trading fix til mid of the year -> I quit forever
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good
Seems like nobody is worried about those jewels. You're sending your beta exiles to tests with them just like Dominus was. They insert them into their own skill trees, doesn't it sound familiar to you? Do you want the same fate as Eternals have? Want to crush your abandoned undying characters with fresh-builded ones? The Monkey King has come again, and you become his slaves by your own free will! Change your minds, before it is too late! Destroy all jewels you find!

Four more pages of idle twaddle. You people are boring.

In what level range should the Beta testers play at to best help you out at this stage?

I saw something a while back that Cruel/Merc is untuned (possibly no longer true)... is playing in Cruel/Merc necessary or should we try and stick to Normal difficulty (rerolling as needed)? Or is everything equally valuable to you at this point?
when will it be official?
