It seems like some people are under the impression that these keys will be the last to ever be given out, and now they will never have access to the beta ever.
and probably not be able to play the content when it comes out either

As of right now, that's the case. Before this post, those guys didn't know they were getting in.
Who knows what tomorrow holds.

Give GGG a break. When you bought the packs you got everything that you expected to get for your money. Anything they do now is simply a bonus.

hundreds of dollars spent to get into a beta (that will be wiped) a few weeks (at most) earlier than other people.
GGG doesnt quite understand the pay to win system
