@Neversink.

if you see this, could you do some minor different color/border(or whatever) for maps that involve with SEALING Pantheon soul? At least on the regular version?

Just a suggestion :) Thank You

rly good suggestion

One thing that niggles at me with the filter is that rings, etc, that are hidden still play their default drop sound.

Rumor has it that setting a custom sound to play, at volume zero, will cause "no sound"; any chance of testing that, and if it works, applying it to all the "hide" items so they stay silent and out of the way?

not sure they can be disabled but good idea

A small suggestion: it would be great to have the unique items section work a bit like divination cards: instead of making the lowest tier contain 'all the rest uniques', make a 'crap X tier' and a 'everything else X-1 tier'. There are certainly quite a lot of uniques, that fulfill all these requirements:
- Not fated
- Don't have a single expensive/useful unique variant
- Even with perfect rolls will be utter crap
Axiom Perpetuum would be a good example. This way, people will be able to comfortably hide the 'crap tier', while keeping the 'decide on the fly' tier for items that are usually crap but have 1-2 good options (like most jewelry or things like the aforementioned Vaal Axe and Infernal Sword).

It's a risky road to tread. It has crossed my mind several times, but it's a LOT of overhead and a lot of potential problems.

I MIGHT do this, if I'll have time to improve my toolchain and bind filterblade to the economy data.

I see. Well, I totally agree that this is definitely not something that requires priority attention.

Still though, will it be useful to you and the project if I share my 'crap' group (with explanations regarding what uniques are those) once I finish doing it for myself?
Thanks for the filter! Just switched over from the generic one and finding it a lot easier.

One question I didn't see in the FAQ (apologies if it's been asked/answered before but this thread is long and I can't figure out how to search it effectively), is there some kind of item progression editor option for armours as well that I'm missing?

Much appreciated.

I'm finding that this filter broke as of today's update. The dropped items only appear for a few seconds before being hidden. And having to see them again requires a ALT button hold, thereby rendering the item filter semi-pointless.

I'll try a re-install of the filter, perhaps look to see if a newer version was posted. If I don't post back within an hour, then the problem still exists, at least for me.

Has nothing to do with filter or update - read the FAQ on page 1
Please don't PM me ingame with filter/guide questions, post them on the forum, after reading the FAQ.

Umm... Actually, it turns out, the update reset all of my settings to default. Not sure why. When I put them all back to my desired settings, the filter worked fine. Sorry for the previous post. I should have checked all that beforehand.

Hello,
Im pretty new to the game and very new to your lootfilter(downloaded it today). Tho I have a problem, no matter what filter I use (Regular/Semi-strict/Strict etc.), the game always shows every item that drops on the ground, even on Über strict every item gets highlighted. I thought the purpose of a lootfilter is to filter out the bad Items like grey 1 socket Items for example, so that those dont even show up anymore.
Also the "Always Highlight" option is not really helping, when I deactivate it no Item ever shows up and when I activate it, like stated above, every Item gets shown.

Maybe someone knows what causes this and can help me! I want it to work like in the example video on page one, on the beach with all those items where everytime you changed the filter, less items showed up.
I'm going to guess you're in a very low level area since you just started and have 1 challenge. The filters are mostly applied to "Endgame" areas (maps), even the uber strict filter will still show most items in low level areas, except currency items which are always filtered no matter the zone level.
Since there are much less items on the ground at low level, it's not really an issue that they'll be shown because they won't clutter the screen as much as they do later. If you apply even a semi-strict filter you'll start seeing the effects in Acts 2 and 3 I think. I personally leveled with my own version of the semi-strict filter and the worst items were definitely hidden by the filter after a few acts. At level 8, every item is basically the worst possible base so the filter can't really do much.
