[2.0] YeahPete's Hardcore Elemental Molten Striker | custom Loot Filter | Affordable

I'll be remaking this char. For enxt expansion. I was going to go w/ a bow but I tested it was not as effective.

Question for Experts:
I want to min max this build and I'm putting calculations into excel starting w/ attack speed.
Problem is: I can't get my numbers to match up.
I am getting a 7 attack speed discrepency. I did not miss anything. Maybe I will check in a level 1 char.

Heres my numbers:
1.50 : Base Weapon Speed
0.26 : Increased Speed (Weapon)
1.89 : Weapon Speed

0.45 : IAS : Passives
0.54 : IAS : Gems
0.11 : IAS : Gear
0.07 : IAS : MISSING FROM SOMEWHERE
*correction it was bandit quest.

0.92 : More IAS : Multistrike

7.87 : Attacks Per Second
I cann;t account for the 7 ias. Not sure what it is am I missing something?

ROFL DISREGARD It was bandit quest attack speed. Apparently my calculated speed is higher./ POE rounds down I must figure out where.

Found the round down. Looks to be where the weapon speed is multiplied by the attack speed. It gets that figure then rounds down from 4.12 to 4.1
When you multiply: 4.1 * 1.92 = 7.872
This is again rounded down to 7.87 which is my tooltip attack speed.

Well now that I have attack speed figured out I can go ahead and start reworking my real damage.

Alright, any news on this?

Feeling like playing this again.
Hi. NO new news. I'm playing it right now though. I'll post gear.

Spoiler
GEAR:

Passive Tree:

I am playing Raider w/ full frenzy charges. W/ Full frenzy charges and flasks I am at 50k tooltip dps. which is 100k real damage The downside is I am very squishy. I only have 5k life so I will not do any map above 72 right now. I am really saving for a belly and still focusing on masters. I don't really play much though got a lawsuit I have to file and gather evidence for. W/ onslaught I got like 12.42 attacks per second.

Starkonja's helmet gives us the much needed life.
The Shield W/ +2 Lightning gems gives us additional +2 Lightning skills.
I plan on buying a level 4 Empower to socket in the shield TO have a mighty +5 to Wrath and Herald of Thunder
I also plan on using belly again for the much needed hp. Any recommendations on how to get more hp would be appreciated. I might drop static electricity jewel and all those dex nodes and head for the scion wheel.

Do you have any plans to play it in the atlas of the worlds??
No. I haven't played in a while. No time but it's a rock solid build. I would go w/ scion.

oh? I would go with Pathfinder.

Ranger tank is the strongest in the game these days, imho.
Either, ES or armor/eva.

Pathfinder is like, almost broken. top gear, definitely is. Rumi's concoction getting flask effect and duration
But even before that, super strong with flask effect/duration on basalts, granites, stibnites, sulfur/silver flasks.
Also, the 10% elem pen. on bowyer, and the status effects+immunity to status effects, and elem damage on master alch, as well as elem DR on nature's boon.
With pathfinder, I especially do not recommend acrobatics. The amount of armor you get with cloth and chain, etc, as well as rumi's or granite flasks, and options for dw or shield block, far outweighs the dodge.
To sum up. Pathfinder, immune to status effects, 8% elem DR, with proper flask use, should have 60-90%phys reduction, 60-75% evade, 40-50% block.
you see all the blade vortex etc pathfinder guides for a reason.
Spell dodge on tree is nice...but that spell running into the 8% elem dr, or a high phsy DR of armor and basalt is even better.

If you do go raider, you want quartz, and veil over rapid assault. The dodge is nice, and phasing move through is very nice, especially with molten strikes melee nature. Raider though, the damage from slaughter is just not worth ti. its barely, if at all, better then vet bowyer, or master herb.

I do not have much of a strong opinion on dw vs shield. I think there are a number of 1h weapons which work very well, but not as many standout shields.
I would say, pick one and add the proper passives. like, either dervish or defiance. and, apsect of the panther, or precise interception. Command of steel, or swagger.

I would also take the 2 points in life leech, and life and mana leech down by duelist, with all ranger/duelist these days.

This for a shield version.

I think I will try playing this again. A few leagues ago I played this build as a raider and it killed stuff absolutely fast as all hell. I was able to farm 7 exalts in an extremely short amount of time, but I had a problem with the lack of hp on the ranger build and having to proc fortify with whirling blades made me just play without fortify.

I will be rolling Scion: Guardian / Champion.
Also much more into hp and less into crit.
Champion for easy fortify and further reduced damage from taunted enemies.

yeah, fortify is a bit.. eh.

If whirling blades, def need inc duration in there.
on my flicker ranger, have fortify right in flicker itself, on the 5l. 1000X worth it. but flicker is a movement skill itself. Molten strike is not... honestly probably still worth it though.
The guide predates mana changes, so dropping blood magic, and adding fortify should work.
The duelist hp/mana leach on Attack Damage nodes should do the job swimmingly.

This guide predates Ancestral Warchief as well. Should be added, and noted.
(not sure if protector or warcheif is better for this.)

Also, Decoy totem is super op for pure melee like this vs many tough rares, unique and bosses. izaro especially is weak to decoy.

I would recommend any melee build consider running both. And use each accordingly.

Thanks for the info I'm gonna check on some of that stuff.

I checked those totems. This build kills way to fast to even bother with totems. I personally don't think it's worth it.

I've tried deleting blood magic. Can't do it. This build does 13 attacks per second with top level gear. That is enough to do 50 attacks before molten balls even drop resulting in zero mana and no attacks. I also like to begin the attacks before I'm in range of monsters and just walk through them. I call it the fire walk. Even though you move attack move attack. It all happens so fast that it feels a single fluid motion.

We also utilize all the mana from auras.
