When I link Faster Casting to Bear Trap, the tooltip reflects a shorter cast time. Perhaps a tooltip error?
The spell, when cast, does have a shorter cast time. Laying the trap is not casting the spell. The trap casting the spell when triggered is casting the spell.

Hi Mark i have a question about Iron Will Supporte Gem;
Iron Will - Spells have the strength melee damage "bonus" applied to them.
correctly?
basicly it's
spell dmg (fireball 282dmg) + STR/5 (85/5=17)
in wiki of path of exile say:
The bonus will be +1% increased Spell Damage for every five points of strength.
calc
Fireball dmg + (Str 85/5) spell power w/ base in STR
282 + 17% = 329 spell damage right?
but in game my dmg is reduced for 267.

"increased" add up with other increased. it isn't a "more" increase as you attempted to math out just now.

The 17% Increase from Iron Will only affects the base damage of the spell.
Also, Iron Will reduceds cast speed. So the cast speed decrease is outweighing the increase in damage from your strength, making your overall DPS less.

Effect on experience
Only party members that are nearby (roughly two screens) receive experience from a slain monster. If one member is in town or too far from the monster they get no XP. Monsters are still made harder by players elsewhere on the level but outside of XP range.
Can you put somewhere a note about how experience is gained. Is it doubled, multiplied, halved? I was just wondering. please don't make me read all 160+ pages if its in there somewhere.

How does the damage (percentage of max life dealt as lighting) relate with my character's own shock chance?
It doesn't, it affects duration, as stated in the info you've already found.
Unless you explictily have a chance to shock, you shock on crits. If you do explicitly have a chance to shock, then that's your chacne to shock. There's no forumla involved.
"
I've got a passive which gives me 10% chance to shock, but at the same time I cannot crit because of resolute technique
What i would like to know is how chances are calculated because I dont think it is just a plain 10% thanks to the passive
It is. The passive says 10% chance to shock - it means 10% chance to shock. Your chance to shock is 10% - if you had two such passives, it would be 20%.
If I have a 50% Crit chance, and I have a single passive which grants 10% chance to shock - my average chance to apply a shock on hit goes down? (From 50% to 10%)
If not, can I be granted a double shock from a single attack? ( Crit + Passive chance to shock Proc)
Copied from http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/192780 as I feel it's better archived here if we get an answer

You dont cast traps you lay them. This is why you need the trap knode "lay down speed" which affect only the speed to set them up. - as u alrdy mentioned. You cast spells, attack with attacks and lay mines/traps.
That's completely contrary to my in-game evidence. How about you stop regurgitating useless info?
Why so impolite (especially when I am right...)?
And i will just repeat myself, cause no sure answer so far (but thx Kissan ;) )

Thx for your answers!
And another last one:
I have 2 sets of weapons. lets say 2 wands (+spelldmg) and 2 daggers (+critchacne).
I cast now a fireball while having 2 wands equiped, change the set of weapons while the fireball is on its way, what appllies when the fireball detonates? The crit chance of the dagger sets (which is active now) or the boni of the wand (which were active at the momenti was casting the ability)? With traps it should be analoughe? I guess it counts the equipmet which was used to cast the spell, no?

Because you weren't being helpful. Anyways, it's all because the stupid game lies to you about "cast" speed for traps it seems, so I'll just have to keep that in mind.

I would put it there if I knew. The formulas were recently changed and GGG has not released the information AFAIK.
All I've got it s 0.9.13e patch notes that say that the old XP sharing system was done away with, but then goes on to say that the formulas have not changed, which is confusing.
I've also seen reports from players that have done testing and been unable to reconcile their results with the description of how party XP is supposed to work.
Read for yourself here.

Well the question was weather cast speed increases the setup of a trap. And this question I answered. Also, your attitude is quite negative. Don't call the game stupid, its a good game. The game has feelings too. And don't be impolite to players to trying to help others. This is an order soldier!
