Get Sai if you can, unless it's substantially more expensive than an equal dagger with crit implicit. A regular Bone Helmet is fine, shaped would require ilvl84 for T1 mods unless you don't care about it, then ilvl75 is fine. The same goes for elder gloves, except ilvl85 for T1 mods here. It's better to just buy either already with the desired mods and only bother with crafting once you've gathered more currency. #% Effect pf non-damaging ailments is also a really good mod you can craft on amulet.

thanks for the reply!

just wondering, by buying a dagger(sai), do u mean a normal one or a shaped one? i'm assuming u are talking about a normal one? wouldn't i drop a lot of dps because of the -80% elemental (from sceptre implicit)? because i feel i'm killing quite slowly for bosses/syndicate at t9-10 atm.

noted for gloves and helm. thanks!

surprisingly, i have the veiled mod for the %effect on my amulet (rank 2, 21-30%) :D

also, i assume movement speed on boots is not important right? since we will be leaping/whirling around 90% of the time?

Hi I'm a noob to poe

If i don't want to play (Arc) but still love your build and setup what other spell could i use that is great aoe/sing target dmg?

Cuz the Lightning has inconsistent damage output is a concern of mine!!

I like to be tanky and melt faces!!

(I tried summoner but its Boring)

I tried a melee mar was to slow in killing!!

I'm looking for a fun build and im just starting so im poor and just looking to have lots of easy kills!!

Thx for the guide its very easy of understand :D

Evening gentlemen, I am really wondering how big is the difference in the weapon types, that is sceptres vs daggers. I am aware of the difference between moving skills that put daggers ahead, but how it is when it comes down to damage? (I cant really use pob on the level that shows me clear difference).
Hello! First of all thank you for this great guide! It's literally what kick-started my love for PoE! I love how thorough and descriptive this guide is, extremely well written, and the frequent updates are amazing!

I am a new player and my current character Aelynnah is my first character that made it past Act 4! I just started act 8 earlier today and it's been great fun!

As a new player I am not quite sure if my character has some problems as i have nothing to compare it against. If someone can take a look at my character Aelynnah and point out any mistakes or other problems i'd be glad!

What can i improve? What should be my main focus going from here? How should I move from here?

Thank you very much Enki and everyone commenting here, you provide immense help and tips! Keep it up!

How do I approach delving with this build? When I take a peek into "dark" branch of the road, invunerable minions hit me instantly and I cant hit them back because they are in darkness and they just drain all my mana so I cant really run away from there and I just die.

My experience with delving is not so big, but I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I just got to 250 depth and decided to get some resonators and fossils, but unless I throw a flare on every pack between me and breakable wall, I just die in seconds. I was trying to use phasing flask but it's not really effective.

I'm not speed clear farming maps yet, and I'm not really sure if I have any intention of doing that for a while. But here's my impression of the difference. I don't have optimized gear and I don't do a lot of trading, I sort of play an informal SSF. I try to find gear upgrades for myself for as long as I can until I hit a wall and can't continue progressing.

I took a pretty good hit to sheet DPS (21k dropped to about 18.5k) when I switched to daggers and Whirling Blades, but the improved ability to kite and dodge damage easily made up for it (to me).

Remember, you do zero DPS when you're dead.

Thanks alot for any tips, and the work you put in this build you are the best man.

Stibnite flask is bad for this build (use Basalt instead) and you don't have any freeze removal on flasks.
Your CWDT gem links are a bit all over the place. I would stick to the set-up in the guide and you no longer need Clarity with Watcher's Eye leech unless running no leech maps. Decoy totem can't be used with CWDT and Decoy is fairly underrated for this build as it absorbs a lot of damage allowing for constant DPS on bosses until re-cast. Keep leveling it up to your STR level without needing more STR (de-level as needed when removing STR gear).
You've taken 3 extra mana keystones and missing the Celestial triangle DPS because of it. The penetration and increased shock effect is very deceiving with the in-game tooltip.
Save for Clear Mind and lookout for boots with better HP/resists to be lab enchanted (or already enchanted if you hate lab like me). For bosses, penetration or flat damage enchant will add quite a lot of damage and can make-up the resists elsewhere.
Personally, I like more chaos resists than Purity and Atziri this league, but matter of opinion.

Not sure how the helm craft works, but it might make Cold Snap too high and not trigger with CWDT? I'd find a different one because it isn't that great.
No freeze removal flask. Upgrade your mana flask.
You're missing 3 skill points. 2 if you chose the wrong Bandits and 1 from passive quest. Use some HP and the missing points to finish Purity of Flesh wheel.
Move 2 spell crit to Lord of the Dead, +25% damage.
Upgrade gloves for more resists, preferred with Fingerless, Minion craft, or Shaped atk/cast speed.
More life and possibly resists on boots opens up slot for lab enchant (pre-enchanted or not).
Relieving resist requirements will allow easier time to buy 6L rare armor (eventually want no resists needed on armor for Inpulsa).
Could not see any cold damage to spells on gear. Swap a jewel or ring craft otherwise Hypothermia is less effective and only working while chill buffs are up.
And then eventually start working into Shaped weapons for big flat damage increase. Oh, and use spare weapons to level 2nd set of gems for level 21 gems. Arc is fairly cheap, others are more expensive.

Watch the videos and see how inconsistent the numbers are for yourself. Yes, Arc has a huge damage range, but we are also firing Arc twice with Spell Echo and with lots of cast speed so it is rolling those numbers faster than you can even see what is going on. And with all of the chains and Inpulse explosions, it really evens out further. And the Vaal Arc lucky buff (if used) will roll the numbers twice and pick the higher number.

If the playstyle is still not for you, there are dozens of updated guides in every characters section to scroll through until you find the one that fits your need. Or if you're like me, pick a skill, Google that skill with the current patch, see that it is updated, and play it. Repeat as many times as needed every league.

Your gear should be fine into white mapping. Rings will probably need upgrades when you get your final resist drop to get them back up to cap. Maybe craft resists on body armor?
Spiritual Aid should be your next big focus and getting that big 94% spell damage shift, more with bone helmet or other minion damage mods.
Farm maps, get loot, buy upgrades, push higher tiers, repeat.

Flares is the only way to kill stuff when random searching in Delves. I prefer just using the cart everywhere and then using the currency I get to buy stuff. I'm only at like level 17x and I've had 2 exalt drops, 2 delve boss loot sold for another 5 ex, and then all the random chaos orbs, maps, etc so probably close to 8 ex this league from Delve. The only darkness searching I've done is to find the hidden rooms to cart to and there are guides for that (finding the path that it can branch off of and searching the darkness there for the wall to dynamite).
Hmm, after thinking about it further, I might try the whole 6L Storm Brand in my second weapon slot thing. I can’t test anything yet, but here’s how it theoretically would work:

1) Second weapon slot has a 6L Brand. 3 brands are dropped at the beginning of a map or before engaging a boss. Immediately switch back to daggers. Daggers will likely have both CWDT setups in order to prevent golems/buffs from dropping.

2) Equip Brand Recall, link with Arcane Surge (I’m pretty sure Brand Recall is instant, so we would have an instant cast Arcane Surge buff while simultaneously moving Storm Brands to desired locations. This means there would be no awkward weapon swaps mid combat.

I do not know if brands have an attached duration or not, having trouble finding that out. Otherwise they detach when (1) the enemy dies or (2) the brand is recast or recalled. I’ve already tested that Brands remain after the weapon swap, but there may be a mechanic stopping brand recall from functioning. I’m pretty sure they only disappear when (1) the detached duration expires, (2) they are recast, or (3) you enter a new area.

I’m confused as to how this is different than any other delve experience. Keep your light radius and resistances maxed, and you’ll be just fine. Dash to the end of a tunnel, drop a flare, kill, and loot. Longer tunnels will require multiple flairs, but by all means don’t try fighting in the dark.

What gem should replace clarity in the CWDT -Enfeeble setup when Clarity is dropped for Clear Mind?
