Hey, I played an arc witch about 2 years ago.
During this time I obviously played an older version of the currenty arc witch with an old call of the brotherhood, old vessel of vinktar and old taste of hate. Are these items still good for this version of arc witch and if I wanna use the items, espacially call of the brotherhood can I use the same skill tree or is it any different? I finally crafted something better than my old sceptre:
I spent about 20ex and many hours on buying fossils. Just look at this beauty. And I annuled a prefix for +44% spell damage (annuling any of two suffixes - crit or area was fine too - it was possible to craft +19% lightning damage and it's still would better than my old sceptre. But annuling prefix with 16% chance was the best outcome). +40k DPS upgrade p.s. For those, who are doing sceptres crafting: 40% elemental damage implicit base gives literally the same DPS as 6% ele res penetration and it's 3 times cheaper Last edited by blg_RealiZe#1295 on Nov 17, 2018, 5:32:17 AM

" Buy watcher's eye jewel with "#% of lightning damage is leeched as mana while affected by wrath", it's about 1.5ex " Your lightning resistance is not highest, wise oak flask does almost nothing for you. Fix it. Buy Clear mind jewel with 55-57%+ spell damage roll and turn off clarity. Get all the flasks, that are recommended in the guide. Buy Cerberus limb with a good rolls (19-20% cast speed, 97-100% spell damage). It's cheap and it's better than Doryani's. Buy watcher's eye with mana leech and replace mana leech support in your orb of storms setup to culling strike. After that start saving money for major upgrades - lvl 21 arc, helmet with lab enchant (that is recommended in the guide), maybe a good rare sceptre. Hey great build. I only started Delve a week or so ago after missing the last few leagues and decided to check out this build to familiarize myself with all the new stuff that's been added. Managed to beat shaper last night even though my gear is pretty sub par (still had a 20 arc before I corrupted a 21 today).
Wanted to add that the guide itself looks like it took a lot of effort. Lots of great info here and well written/organized. Great job! |

" Ok, replaced the blue jewel with something I think is better. For your suggestion for Mark of the Shaper, the guide says to only bother if you have an Elder Essence Worm, while I only have a regular Essence Worm. Is it still worth it? For the Helmet, I thought the Skullhead is pretty decent, boosting life and mana, resistances, and toughening the golems. I also have a Mind of the Council sitting around, but looking at it, I'm not convinced it really is an improvement. What kind of helmet were you thinking? |

So atm I have done up to killing the minotaur(barely) and the hydra My dps for map clearing feels great but I am unsure now what to upgrade next, my fire resistance is my only uncapped res but the wise oak is there for that. I am currently sitting on 200ish chaos. I guess I could get the Watchers eye for the mana leech but what else would you recommend? |

My sceptre in Standard is actually not very good, only barely better than a Catalyst. It was just a quick craft after getting the base from Uber Elder and will soon be replaced by my Delve sceptre.

You need to upgrade pretty much everything except your Sceptre, Ahn's, Inpulsa's and Flasks. Look for the required stats for each slot and take the miniguides at the bottom of first post as help.

It's not the safest build for Hardcore, but it does work if you can get around the hit & run playstyle. I've seen some people getting it into the higher 90s in HC Delve, although we can't of course know yet if next patch may nerf or improve some aspects.

As the others wrote, Empower Lv4 would be the best option, although at that cost i'd just recommend to color it for 5b1g, shouldn't take too many tries with Vorici 1 green option.
The one linked in this guide is 4b1g1r cuz' it's a +1 to level of socketed gems Inpulsa and those are the desired colors for that specific corruption.

None of these items are really worth it for this build anymore. We're noncrit now, so freezes wouldn't be as reliable and Inpulsa's has taken over the role of corpse disposal with additional benefits now. Vinktar simply got butchered too much, it's limited to one use in bossfights and doesn't really give anything that makes it worth the flask slot for us. Taste of Hate is somewhat okay for the defensive aspect, but way too expensive for that and we'd lose a valuable flask suffix.

That's a pretty sick sceptre, congrats! How does the dual wield setup work out for you? I think it may be time for a change next patch.

Congrats on the Shaper kill! And thanks, the guide did indeed take lots of effort and still does to maintain, but seeing all the feedback and how it helps people tells me it's worth it :)

Don't bother with Mark of the Shaper, it really takes an Elder Essence Worm to be worth it and even then only if you can use it without giving up DPS on other slots, so it requires really good gear to begin with. Mind of the Council is also not needed since you have a leech Watcher's Eye, if you plan to upgrade Skullhead on the cheap look for a shaped rare helmet with Lightning Damage to Spells and/or Shock Effect.
Looking at your char, i'd recommend to focus mainly on DPS mods on amulet and get resistances on your boots rather. Both rare jewels could also be replaced, you may even try crafting some Hypnotic Eye jewels you probably got drop by now. Also replace Conductivity with something more useful, the base curse limit is 1 so only one of either curse can be active. Tempest Shield is often used here, or put Cold Snap in there and any Vaal Aura in the 4L CwDt, it won't get triggered but it will benefit from the Increased Duration linked in that setup. Last but not least get quality on your flasks and the gems listed in the gem quality section, it will be a significant boost and they will level back up to 18-19 relatively quickly.

Watcher's Eye and then Lv21 Arc. You could also try to get boots with Life and a Stygian Vise for that extra jewel socket. The rest looks pretty good.

" I only recommend mark of the shaper with this if you can maneuver resistances around appropriately. This is better for me dps wise compared to my other rings just simply because of cost efficiency. As well, getting the 10% max life is more beneficial than crafted flat life. That ring causes me to drop about 1k tooltip dps in comparison to the mark. |
