I believe so, provided you use the Fevered Mind jewel. For me right now, level 17 Arc costs 24 mana * 130% (Controlled Destruction) * 140% (Lightning Penetration) * 130% (Life Leech). 24 * 1.3 * 1.4 * 1.3 = 56.

Without Fevered Mind, you'd have a hard time.


On another note, I got lucky and rolled a 6L Pledge, and with the 120% from Faster Casting this is exactly 104 mana.

Good point. Doing the calculation it seems that at lvl 20 arc will only cost 92 mana with controlled destruction, lightning pene, spell echo and Apep's

Guess I will use the jewel after all.

I have been enjoying and successful playing this build until I hit Act 5-6 where I struggled somehow fighting huge pack of monsters/rare and these hard hitting bosses in Quest zones. I find that if not keeping Bone Offering up I get very squishy when it comes to physical attacks.

My problem is I have hard time capping my resistance at the moment, is there any tips I can upgrade my gear?

Hello! I just wanted to thank you for your build. I'm a 63-year-old grandma who is not quite as quick as I used to be, and this is the first time playing this game that I have really had fun at the end. I just killed Kitava (died only 5 times, which is really good for me) and I completed my first map. Now I am looking forward to maps!! My next quest will be to get a staff and chest that have more than 4 linked sockets, so I'm going to try your guide to obtaining armor. Thank you again.

@IChrisI: Grats on the 6L!

@rinseo: Don't bother too much buying gear at that point. Best you can do is getting yourself a Goldrim, that's one of the best res items you can use during the storyline and should last you until you gear for maps.

Your character tab is private so i can't check, but i'm sure there's room for mastercrafted resistances on your gear, either with Haku or Elreon. You can also use a Granite Flask if you really struggle with high physical damage, it will be a bit more effective than a Basalt at these low levels.

Many thanks for the super useful guide, I've been using it a lot to help me get to grips with the game overall and finding the comments helpful as well.

I have a very basic question (excuse me if I'm missing something here): but the guide calls for a Molten Shell in case of certain gearing, specifically Kitava's helm, but in the game-play videos I see the Decoy Totem being used which I don't see in the gear setup.

So I'm just wondering if this is perhaps a mistake or am I missing something here? I indeed find the Decoy Totem to be more helpful in certain fights than then the Molten Shell hence my question.

Hi, wanted come by and thank the author for a great guide. I'm a new player, decided to give it a go with this Witch. I'm having a blast.
Just hit 71lvl, got 5L Pledge and farmed 30c for 5L Inpulsa's. My only question is... Where do I get 100 dex needed to equip Inpulsa's Broken Heart? I'm at 19 now, haven't seen any dex choices in the tree and don't know what to do.

Would appriciate some suggestions, because that chest looks really sick ;d

I get my dex from an amulet, ring, belt, and an agility node on the skill tree.

@aVeryYoulieYoul: Hey there! The videos still show the old 3.0 version of this build with a slightly different gem setup and no Inpulsa's, need to wait until my new PC arrives until i can record some new vids. Should be hopefully next week.

@TomekSzymek: You can do what Frogmum did, or just use a Careful Planning jewel in the socket close to Mind over Matter. With a high enough roll, that should give you enough Dex to wear Inpulsa's and level all Dex gems the build uses.
