The guide again and again emphasizes that LMB with arc should be set to "attack without moving" and the same for flame dash.

Where does it say you should put it on LMB????
So Soul Tether are not usable belt anymore?

Inspiration charges are global, both skills get affected no matter which one you gained them with.

I understand that, my confusion is that both skills seem to share the same mana pool (charges dissipate at XX mana spend) and 5 max inspiration charges.

In almost every encounter, arc alone seems to get me very quickly to max charges. Having brand seems only to make me hit the mana cap sooner, making the charges disappear.

It feels like I spend more time on max charges by only having arc generating them, and it doesn't exactly seem to take long to get there with arc alone, so I don't understand the utility of having a second skill generating charges.

I was thinking the same about this. Haven't tested it yet, but I also have the feeling that Inspiration coming from the Arc setup alone will be good enough - for me at least. And I'll probably drop the one in the Storm Brand setup for something else. But I figure that's a matter of personal taste/opinion and everyone has to find out for themselves what works best.

Blind might be interesting alternative. Or Culling Strike as long as you don't have it from the gloves. Faster Casting could be another option so that you can pop the Brands out extremely quick. But I guess I'll go for Blind or Culling Strike. Have to test it out first tho.

Inspiration charges only affect skills supported by Inspiration Support, so there's certainly still a good reason to put it in a second damage setup (unless you consider 35% more elemental damage and 40% increased crit chance pointless). Obviously Arc is the true engine for creating the charges; the interaction with SB should be imperceptible, really.

I will second that Culling Strike is AMAZING with SB as a utility support. So is Onslaught. That said, I'm pretty sure the entire reason Enki sacrificed the golem 6L for a SB 6L was less about utility and more about stacking as much damage as possible for tough endgame bosses--hence the Lighting Penetration Support. He obviously thinks the build benefits more from stacking pure damage on SB than anything else, with the exception of PCoC, which is a global buff that gives us badly needed crit chance for Arc.

Ultimately it's your call, of course. But if you're looking for utility, you could always try putting that extra support gem into your WoC setup (for bosses).

Correct. Without the life leech from Paragon of Calamity, it loses all value aside from the flat ES boost (and keeping Energy Leech Support at its higher damage condition).

We really need the extra life and resistances, anyway. Plus that amazing Hunter's mod that gives you a flask charge on critical--that's HUGE for a build whose DPS benefits so much from flasks.

I tried slamming a Hunter's Exalted on mine yesterday and it didn't turn out how I'd hoped:

My buddies are regularly telling me that Three Dragon's is a waste, even with the shock on focus, as that's a conditional thing for 4 seconds every 12 seconds.

What gives? I ran two T10's back to back, one without three dragons (and not res capped at that point, either), and one with, and I felt pretty good both ways. This was without auras as well.

Is three dragon's solely for defense?

Three Dragons is only useful with Herald of Ice. The freeze lock is extremely valuable defensively, but there's also a huge clearspeed aspect to the explosions. They also work defensively by eliminating painful on-death effects (like the porcupines').

If you're talking about single-target damage, though, Three Dragons does not help with that.
Question for Enki:

Potential value of Runebinder?

Ah, this is the part I'd missed. I was thinking that all skills were affected by inspiration charges.

I hadn't noticed because my storm brand wasn't yet at level 20 and so DPS with it was pretty garbage anyway.

I'm still messing around with combinations but i have stormbrand in my rotation so i can learn to use it. once it's at level 19 i will start looking at making more changes.

another thing i'm still uncertain of:

Herald of Ice is no longer linked with increased crit in the new setup. I thought that was pretty instrumental to getting the clearspeed from the ice explosions?

I tried a run without it yesterday and it certainly felt like I wasn't getting the same instant mob explosions from before, but that was pretty subjective.

I'm really interested in the more Arc chains thing.

So in the gear section it says that with the right setup, I can get a lv.31 arc that chains 10 times.

But I don't really understand how to do that exactly, because lv.21 Arc chains 8 times, with a +3 staff, a lv.4 Empower and a +1 Amulet it becomes a lv.28 Arc, but wouldn't I still need 3 levels from some item?

Socket Level 21 Arc + Level 4 Empower

Mods on staff
+3 lightning spell skill gems
+2 all spell skill gems
+2 socketed support gems (craft)

will give you a level 31 arc.

You give up all the prefixes for this though (that is if you are lucky enough to roll it).

Keep in mind that you can not use a divine orb to get the +3 lightning spell skill gems. +3 is the top tier and you either have it or you don't. +1 can be divined to +2.

Thanks so much, that's exactly what I was looking for!
