Yes, in my opinion! I personally use Primordial Chain, Anima Stone, Primordial Eminence, and Primordial Harmony for a total of 9 golems because you get huge returns on all of the golem buffs (especially with Empower in the setup). You also get even more minions to distract enemies. You do lose the amulet and 3 jewel slots, which is a big tradeoff in terms of life, resistances, and stats, but think of it this way: with Empower in Enki's recommended golem setup, Liege of the Primordial, and Elemancer, each extra golem we have gives us:

5% increased attack and cast speed
2.5% additional physical damage reduction
16% increased global crit chance
10.5% increased damage

So Anima Stone on its own gives you all of that. That's pretty amazing for just one jewel, right? And how about an amulet with 15% attack and cast speed, 7.5% phys reduction, 48% crit, and 31.5% increased damage? You're losing some potential life, but the damage mitigation makes up for it, in my opinion. The other two primordial jewels between them provide golem life sustain and the above per-golem stats at 80% of the stated values each, which still are very strong jewel stats. Again, you are forgoing life in favor of physical damage reduction, but I think it's worth it, especially if you can somehow squeeze some chaos resistance onto the rest of your gear.

As Enki would say, it's all about opportunity cost. In my opinion, after trying both ways last league and this league, it's worth it to be able to fly around a map with Lightning Warp at breakneck speed and push 40% physical damage reduction (with Soul of Steel anointment). But there are other good approaches, of course; it's to some degree about your personal preference.

@WorderMostFoul 9 golems absolutely sounds like a dream, but I fear it's going to hit my life pool quite a bit. Just out of curiosity what your current life pool? And are you still using soul tether for it's increased damage while leeching?

Few more questions:
1. How are you handling end game bosses especially the ones that one-shot you. I fear a low enough life pool is a guaranteed death sentence. There's only so much damage that can be negated right? Or is it that you try and avoid almost all of the damage as much as possible?

2. I see that you've allocated Practical Application as opposed to Prodigal Perfection. Is this just to save a passive point? (Am I even looking at the right character?)

3. How are you sustaining golems? If they do end up dying it's kind of annoying to cast them while trying to dodge everything on screen. Are you proactively casting golems when they are about to die?

Thanks again!

So it bears mentioning that I've deviated from the build and haven't figured out how I want to optimize it yet, so my character isn't a stellar model for anyone that now! (Yes, you're looking at the right one.) My rings in particular aren't that great.

Current life pool is around 6k (4.3k life, 1.7k mana), though it feels like more with the block chance and physical damage reduction. Dropping Queen's Hunger for Inpulsa's resulted in a lot of last ES, but I'm thinking I'll try to craft a rare Shaper's Vaal regalia for endgame bossing, since Inpulsa's isn't super useful for single-target DPS. Chaos damage is the most dangerous, and luckily it's not super-common (though it's not rare anymore this league, either!).

I am still using Soul Tether for now. It's a guaranteed way to get maximum damage out of Energy Leech support as well as a good boost to ES. I've dropped Paragon of Calamity, so I'm not sure if this is still the best choice; I could really do with some more life and resistances, so I'll have to experiment with PoB.

1. Lighting Warp is much faster than Leap Slam and that makes it a lot easier to avoid 1-shots. So does having more golems. For whatever reason, I don't find myself 1-shotted very often, though that's certainly not to say it doesn't happen. I manually dodge most stuff pretty comfortably, though, and most really hard hits will almost but not quite kill me. I have yet to try my newest setup on Sirus, but I think it will be very doable as long as I don't get screwed by the storms. (My first two attempts with the old setup were NOT successful!).

2. Ignore my anointment, I was desperate for strength and dex just to get my gear switched and didn't have the skill points to spare at the time. I'll probably reallocate points to it later tonight so I can anoint something more useful.

3. Golem sustain becomes less of a problem with all the primordial gear and a level 4 Empower because of their life regen and immunity to elemental damage. They have been dying too quickly to Al-Hezmin because they waddle like idiots over the chaos DoT triangle in the middle of the arena, but otherwise I can generally let them take care of themselves and just move to the side and recast 4 at a time when one goes down. Gem level is huge here. For context, when I was running Uber Elder frequently last league, it was extremely rare that even one of them would die at all. Sirus does more physical damage and his storms fucked my golems up the first time I tried him, but it looks like yesterday's patch will help out there.

@Enki91 and anyone else, thoughts on using Auls uprising as a high budget alternative? with wrath reserves no mana, enabling us to use both zealotry and wrath at the same time, looking at the numbers in PoB it seems to be more damage than any other high budget amulet could give? if im not mistaken, which I might be lol, and they go for around 13 exalts so its not extreme price imo ^^

@Enki are you going to publish new changes? As far as i see you remove the voting pool in the first page.

I'm excited for the new changes!

Doing some work on the guide over the weekend. Setup will be ugpraded for better survivability and single target, while retaining the builds purpose.

For those already interested, check this PoB-Setup in the meantime.

Hello! really enjoying the build so far but i was just wondering how you can have 3 crafted mods on top of the "can have up to three crafted modifiers"? I can only craft 2 after it.
I checked the new POB link from Enki. 3million DPS + 1 million from storm brand, and 10K EHP? How??
Hi guys,

I have posted earlier with some issues which I believe resolved but then again I reached a point where I feel my DPS is not enough. My Character is ApoMethaArc and you can see it here https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/Ap0calypt1c

I tried Drox for 20th Gem now although I got some issues with the others I managed to beat them from 2-3 try. With Drox does not feel I can do it. The problem is he spawns banners faster I can remove them and everything gets messy from there. I start well and get 1/3 of the HP and then I basically can't do anything because everything is banners. Any advices? I know I have to get the 6th link on the golems and just now gathering for the medium budget vaal regalia. Almost ready with it. But what else I can do to increase my DPS and HP because I feel my 4248 HP and 2050 ES are not enough. Clearing T15-T16 maps is not a problem but again some boss fights are a bit of nightmare.

Also second question is I see on all videos there is Focus as skill used. I don't see any gem with Focus in the gem list so wondering from where does it come.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Enki! I applied the changes to my character in POB - same gear only tree adjustment and gem swap. It is about 50% more DPS on - ARC 660K to 1 mill. Storm Brand gives a boost of 300K DPS compared to the 160K boost of WoC - and this is on a 5link Storm Brand. So significant damage boost I would say. Storm Brand is also autopilot so hits when you are running around avoiding damage - which means it is nice for boss fights. The change to EHP for me is +300 with the new setup, but it means loosing fortify. Not sure if sustain will be worse or better, but all in all I am tempted to try this.

Have you tested it ingame yet?
About Drox. After you damaged him in the start of te fight go in one corner and stay there. He will come for you and in this way you only have to deal with 1 or 2 flags.

About Focus. It is not a gem, it is in the item.
Hello,

thank you very much for your build.
Unfortunately it seems like some content was deleted with your latest edit.
Currently the gem setup is empty and i can't find the gear-section with the items any more.

Either please tell me if i am just blind or where you moved it. :)
