But the block is kinda crucial feature if u play pure eva/dodge build. Now u are penalised for using dodge + block on eva build. I have a 4,8k life on a full glass cannon shadow build, with abyssus, no eva, almost no armor and 0 block nodes.
The only survivability i use is your occasional cwdt ic setup and i never got one shotted even in lvl 77 maps.
Keep in mind im only lvl83.
So if i dont get one shotted with 4,8 k life and abyssus, there is no fckin way someone with 6k life would get one shotted.

5.050 HP, 1.550 free mana Incinerate, 75|75 block, MoM, AA, CwS + IC, I've met Bameth at 75 map with "added lightning" affix, one vaal split shot left me 1k HP (shot = 5600). Thanks there was no aura and etc. I would definitely like to see u against Abaxoth.
Range-archer talking about no need in survivability - pls play for melee just for one time at hc league.

*Added a new Strength Skill - Vengeance: Chance to perform a swift counter-attack against all enemies around you when you are hit. Weapon range increases the area of this attack. (Available from the Lost in Love quest for the Templar, Marauder and Duelist.)

*Added a new Dexterity Skill - Riposte: Perform a deadly counter-attack when you block. Uses both weapons while you're dual wielding. (Available from the Lost in Love quest for the Duelist, Ranger, Shadow and Scion).


I assume these will be passive and would work similar to CWDT? You block and the skill goes off.

There is a podcast with xeno, ziggy, Chris etc. where they discuss act 4 release. I believe Chris said the next act is likely coming out in spring. So we have 1-2 more leagues before it releases. That's a lot of QQing to listen to because people want things now.

All the people making it sound like we're getting PvP INSTEAD of PvE content... well Chris didn't make it sound like that was the case at all.

The fact that none of these actually put you into a defensive stance is extremely disappointing. Especially given the broad reduction in efficacy of shield/dual wield block. A 100% chance to block next attack and then counter with a cooldown would have been much more tactically engaging than these 'if you block or are hit, this happens' deals.

Saying that humans invented kinetic energy is like saying we invented gravity. Kinetic energy has existed since the big bang. Considering that the name "Kinetic Blast" just implies that it is an explosion caused by high motion, I have no idea why you think the name doesn't fit into a fantasy game with magic in it. This is probably one of the strangest complaints I've seen about a patch note in this game.
