Patch 1.2.4 Delayed to Tomorrow (also: Race Season Nine items and Melbourne Meetup)

Ok, I *really* want the BoR alt art, but here is the shocker. I have a real job. I work 7.5 hours a day and I'm away from the computer for about 8.5-9 hours a day. Am I gonna need to hire someone to play on my PC for me to get it? Last season I was unemployed, played a HUGE amount of the races and still only got 136 points in the end.

I'm never getting that helmet, and it's also doubtful I'll get the bottle that won't make a cosmetic difference for my character anyway. Sure it looks cool, dig the fish, but I can't stand in town, idle, for 10 hours showing it off.

Literally what this Season seems to be tbh, GGG once again catered to the wrong crowd, not surprised a surprisingly big amount of players quit really.

Stop making a bloody video game into a real life job.. Deal with the Maphackers somehow, stop "balancing" it around them, they will anyways get close to max point pr. race anyways, why should it then be harder for us? It'll just decrease the numbers of bigger rewards in total.

Are people really complaining about season rewards? If you can't put in the time or effort to EARN the rewards then you don't deserve them. It's that simple. The sense of entitlement is freaking ridiculous.

I really hope GGG doesn't pander to all the complainers aka the lowest common denominators of the player base.

"Time" is the actual keyword here, i already mentioned the math above, nearly 3 points per event for every event, thats simply not doable for 99% of the players, even 100 races done is probably out of the question for anyone who works 8 hours a day.

Take off your elitest glasses for a moment and actually think rather than making the assumption that people here are complaining because they think theyre entitled to getting rewards without any effort.

Polish your elitism somewhere else please, there's several good arguments to why GGG's Season 9 will be a huge disaster.
I have YET to see one reason to how it isn't.

Europe Players have been completely fucked by time zones SEVERAL TIMES now, how can that even be fair for us? Aren't we allowed to try and win one of these prices?
Ohsure, I'll just play 24/7 like you elitist players does, because it's your job somehow.

Here's how to fix it:
Provide actually a good amount of rewards (People CLAIM there's no disadvantages in new leagues being able to claim them, so stand by your word for once), even add some of the old rewards if they didn't have enough time to add new 3D-Art etc.

Make getting points actually achieveable for players who aren't no-lifers or dedicated streamers.

Now, No-Lifers / Dedicated Streamers are all; BUT MUH EPEN, well you could get points to purchase MTX after reaching the 1K? That'd only be fair since you're working anyways (Don't even try to act like PoE isn't like a full-time job, because it really is).

I'm just sick and tired of seeing it's only a handful of players able to participate and even have a fair shot in these races, and with that said is MAPHACKERS completely ruining the entire point-system.

Just as the races to level 100, the total points for a race season are nothing you should care about if you a normal person. WHy being so butthurt, if there are people who are willing to sacrifice their health messing up their sleep for an alternate art unique it's their choice, I couldn't care less, I prefer health. The biggest problem here is that the racing season is global, it just doesn't make any sense that people plan their life around some virtual races that happen anywhere within a 24 hour time interval.
Still it's probably the best GGG can do and it's the idiots that think they have to do them ALL.

Anyway I'm only doing endless ledges and burst races, the others bore me just by looking at them. It's time for something new, we all have seen Descent and Descent champions enough times by now. And 2 hours fixed seed? Damn I rather do 2 hours of hillock runs, that will give more satisfaction :p

Once again someone failed to understand the whole argument.

It's all about:

Video game vs. Real-life job.

PoE is becoming more and more like a real-life job, there's no justification to this.

Sure if you want to no-life the game and fuck up your own health, be my guest, but don't "balance" events that should be for everybody around such people.

Therenext we got the time-zones, Europeans have multiple times complained that the races were never in their favor, they could rarely participate in them because it was either from morning to mid-day, where they either go to school or work.
Next was from night to morning.
How can anyone even justify this shit.

since you have an incredible amount of racepoints = zero (which means you have no fucking clue at all but still give your opinion for some unknown reason)

let me give you a quick review how casual racing looks like
as a europe player most of the casual races like endless ledge decend and so on take place in the middle of the night you grab 7-10 points each race if you dont die if you die you get nothing
so you settle for a reward round 300
my goal last sesaon was the bereks grip 360 points there is no way a working class citizen can reach 600 points or 1000 no way

Your logic is flawed because you assume the "99%" are somehow entitled to getting the high season point race rewards. Gated content or, in this case, gated race rewards is nothing new. This is the same argument as people complaining about Uber Atziri. It's part of the game. It shouldn't be a level playing field for everyone. You can easily just play the game, save currency, and trade for the items that are race rewards.
