can we run AA turned on always?
I just got a real close call just now. I was in 68 map vaal ruin, party with 4 and we got separated. And I was in a room with a rouge exile with lots of sparks. Almost ripped. Macro F4 saved me.
I think I have to run a shield now..
I have 4.1k life, with 200 es (not using EB atm). 17% phys reduction.

what mods where on the map? And some instances will rip you regardless of if you have 4 or 6k hp btw

not those rippy mod i think.
Anyway, I think I was just not careful and played like a tank, rushing into a room and cast totem later XD.

Btw, I don't use Desecrate, does it make a difference over waiting for monster/s to die and cast Flesh Offer?

Also, what you guys use for braking barrels and crates?

We dont break barrels! Maybe by hand but thats it.

Regarding the spell totem, the build works great for beyonders, same reason they work great for atziri.
Personally i like to keep spell totem linked with both arc and skellies, to use what ever the situation requires of me for increased utility!

This time solo on Spider Lair 68 map. Monster Variety and Endurance mod.
Since the place is very narrow + vaal haste, I spawned a killer Beyonder.

In split seconds, i was spamming my flasks running away. But I think it had a flicker strike, so he hit me again and fortunately my life was just enough to not rip. Pressed F4.

I hope I'm not making too much noise in this forum but I'm willing to learn, so I gotta ask.



Low life on my rings? Gotta look for a better ammy now.

always have desecrate on you
not having desecrate tells us you dont precast, which is something you have to start doing very soon

playing SRS is VERY different from other builds -- you have to learn and adapt a new playstyle
you have to understand it's mechanics in order to maximize dps and/or survivability; especially if you're under a certain budget
1) you can't 'target' with SRS
2) there is a time-delay before SRS are 'activated' after you cast them
3) there is a gap(distance) that srs have to close before they can start attacking

it is these factors that kill a lot of new SRS users(players who were playing it like they did a spell-caster, or zombie summoner)

because there is no linear correlation between you casting srs and monsters dying, you don't have any real-time indicator of when to start casting, and when to stop casting; so the best practice is to always precast fOffer and max-count SRS before heading forward; but that's not very practical -- so to address the survivability issue, you have to 1) have great defensive gear(not applicable to majority of US) or 2) to play defensively/safely



try out different safety measures and see what works for you
on my part, i've tried LOTS of different methods(i even tried 2x granite of stone skin and 3x quicksilver of adrenaline -- yes, i didnt have life recuperation; i also tried shield(for the added security)

but in the end, i settled on decoyTotem for a more comfortable playstyle

@manic, try to get a belt with res, so you can indeed upgrade your rings (and maybe even your ammy) to ones with more life. Its not hard to get a belt with ~100 life and 2 res for a doable price

awwww i just ripped on atzriri the frst few runs where shaky but then it worked fine and i got overconfident :D problem was i got the mirror guy on bottom and the reflect kills the spirits too fast :/
do you swap the position then and try to kill another or do you still try to burst down the mirror guy?

It really depends on your gem levels, and if you have a +2/3 5/6l. If you feel like you can burst through it do it, if not you shouldnt try it and just switch. In general, exercise on noticing and reacting to the statues quicker, because the earlier you notice the mirror, the bigger the chance your better off switching.
