The untradable option with this mod is a good idea. It bothers me because Elreon takes shitload of time to get lvl 8, but it is reachable for a casual like me. It will take time, but it is reachable. Much more than getting 2 exalted per craft.

Sadly, as a developper, I'm pretty sure it is easier to change price than to make an item untradable after a craft.

I just wonder if this kind of feedback is even read by GGG.

I'm glad these patch notes came out just before I sank money for a supporter pack. GGG ain't getting another cent from me anymore. Not only because of the Elreon metamod change, but mainly how they've demonstrated a lack of direction for the game, or perhaps more simply a tendency to keep moving the goalposts for no good reason, while ignoring more important issues like game performance and desync.

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE GAME YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE, GGG? Lack of direction = GG GGG.

I thought with Forsaken Masters after SotV that GGG had a clearer direction in that they will provide very challenging end-game, while Masters crafting will allow more casual players a viable way to get good to great items but not GGG items more easily, thus something for everyone. However, the cost has now risen to be almost prohibitive for the casual player with 2 to 3 hours a day to play.

The grind to a level 8 master is time-consuming enough, and with GGG intending for the 3 to 4-month leagues to be the main way to play, by the time the casual player who stands to benefit the most and who I think are the main target user-base of Masters get to be able to craft good to great items, it'll be far enough into the league already. There is no further need to now move the goalposts again by making it so much more difficult/expensive for players to craft good to great items.

The biggest issue now is that this change is going through MID-LEAGUE, where people probably have expectations of what they'll be able to achieve in this league by now. By moving the goalposts now, don't expect the people charging towards the goal to not get angry and aim the ball at you instead. It would have been a less jarring move to make the change when the league ends.

And I also like the "untradable with the metamod" idea (at a cost NOT 2ex). Fits in with the self-craft good to great item for casuals idea.

TL;DR: Making such a change mid-league makes people angry, and demonstrates a lack of direction for the game. Also, "untradable with the metamod" idea sounds great.

I like how everyone is bitching about elreon crafting with adding two average tier mods to rare kindaa gg items, but hey, they are just rare. Arent unique items better than rares? Use only unique items and u dont have to craft anymore...

changing the price from 1 divine to 2 exalteds in the mid of the league is one of the worst economy-influencing moves by GGG ever.
besides, it doesn't solve the problem with chaos orbs, maybe makes it even worse

also, making carto boxes even rarer than they are now is a huge disappoinment... just remove them already if you don't like their impact on mapping -_-

You mean the rouges, right? thats the best damn part of that mission -the chance for a bit of yellow bling. why remove this? dang. i dont see how thats helpful. thats my chaos recipe, hello!

none of my masters are anywhere near 8, so whatever. its a 3 month league. we signed up for a science experiment. took me 30-40 maps to get zana. i dont have high expectations for this master level 8 thing, cuz im a filthy casual, tyvm.

and pft to those dissing on us "casuals." if it weren't for casuals, you'd only have the elite, and no one for you or ggg to make money off of. 20 ppl spending 100 bucks is more money than 1 person dropping 1000. some of us take a long time to get where we'd like to be. go ahead and ignore those who ask that it be easy, but dissing on the part of the community that makes this game sustainable, the vast majority of us is my guess, who are the "mid range" players, you got no game without us. have some respect. we cant all be your awesomeness, nor would we want to. sorry, i do realize that is a minority opinion, but those few posts just pissed me off. stupid.

hehehe tornado shot fix is fine but just started that build and she leaves a mess everywhere she goes. lmao! was just starting to enjoy her trail of havoc. funny. ;) really fun skill to use. great addition to the game.

Skins are already untradable, unsellable, undroppable and indestructible, why not metamods too. The level 8 mods being bound to your character, masters bound to your account, would make for a very feasible goal for casual players to invest into. Giving motivation to do maps to find more masters, do dailies everyday and generally work towards that worthwhile level 8 mod even if your map progress is limited in level.

At the moment you just ask someone who farmed up for a level 8 master before the tidal island nerf, pay him and be done with it.
The suffix and prefix mods would not matter with an untradable change since they can be removed but let's be real, a casual player would probably scream in joy at the chance to even hold two eternal orbs. Those two mods are for the rich who want to min-max their gear.

The other mods like arrows returning and adding chaos damage etc are removable too, it's just elreon's mod that offers problems with multiple crafted affixes on them.

GGG, put a hand down your pants (maybe not you Bex). Feel any balls there? If so then fucking set every master from level 6 onwards to sell 1 Exalted Orb for a set amount of Chaos Orbs. Show some leadership and set a standard price for Exalted Orbs!! Set some damn concrete value on Exalted Orbs.

From what I have read here, the majority of players feel like they got kicked in the guts by you GGG!

However, anybody who watched State of Exile that featured Quarl and Rory this past Monday should have anticipated this Nerf to Eleron crafting. A GIANT BOO to zeno, ziggyd, and phox for not even questioning this action and talking more about it in stream. They most likely already got their uber items because they are famous streamers etc etc.

I play quite a bit but going to scale it back because if this Eleron shit. Brought a supporter pack because masters expansion sounded so good. Now shafted up the ass again by GGG I feel.

Never used one myself but GGG could learn a lot from RMT sites. RMT sites sell you a product that does what they say it will (as advertised). They don't turn around 5 minutes later and shaft you up the rear!!!

Like a lot of people I am deeply dissapointed by GGG's decision to increase Eleron's craft by so much.

On another note, I got my first Cartographers Strongbox this league this afternoon (roughly 300hrs over my 3 accounts). Level 72 map and got 9 maps, all level 68 and lower. I think those boxes are nerfed enough already. It's funny listening to zeno, Ziggy and phox circlejerk about how they break the game and need more nerfs.

PM if you wan to abuse me, especially you GGG. I'm the lousy filthy casual types who brought multiple supporter packs. I'm the foul disgusting type that brought multiple point bundles. I'm the type of dirty grub that put food on your table!

PS if you are looking to buy a tablet device, I advise a 10" device at keadst. 7" creates so many spelling errors unless you have midget fingers ☺

I am completely against even the idea of untradeable items. I hate it and I dont even trade.
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_-
