" u can handle mana regen as long as u dont take inner buff effect.but if u cant handle regen get mana regen ring,flat es items or added mana mods on items.same as ci spell caster who use arctic armor eventhough no eldritch battery .its just that it needs right combination of gears.anyhow this build is beast.did double palace dominus map. was sketchy(no death) but killed them using right way to place decoy totem(casting decoy totem continuously,decoy totem is shit at high level maps but its .5s distraction helps a lot. .cwdt frost wall saved a lot from those shitty suicide minions.currently in the process of altering my gear to include deerstaker flamesurge trap. " yeah, i hava a lot of ideas for changes in this build, the 1 week race its coming, im trying to get some time to make changes (i work all day long 6 days a week) so all im doing is putting things in excel shits, this next weekend im gonna reserve a decent time to play poe and finish this build for the 1 week. glad u did a double palace boss! If I can contribute to improvement, I'm thinking next variation I'll try get 6L chest (this is the tricky part) CoD or Carcass because I want 6L cold snap curse:
cold snap + prolif + curse on hit + ele weakness + flammability + inc AOE I think with the AOE nodes we grab it might be enough with just AOE gem, for full screen freeze, if not then I'm tempted getting 6L carcass to make sure I freeze full screen. if you have 6L/tabula on standard and all the gems I listed please let me know on the results. " it doesn't work unless u use it as trap with multi trap. imo 1 fire trap rapes every shit without curse. in shadow forum one guy did fire trap build similar to this in atzri ,and he killed vaal and trio with fire trap but for atzri he had to use flame surge self cast the only endgame push is 6l searing so that we can use empower. i have tried all zana maps except poorjoy,jungle valley i did double boss courtayard with dmg mods(i think it was haste mod).was just got scary but tried it .throw 1 trap and ran like hell and once again throw 1 trap and ran ,same process killed 6 boss. for palace dominus u need to place decoy totem perpendicular to both boss and throw trap at both of them and let the burn dmg take care of the killing while u keep casting decoy totem i did higher level maps but only fking 68 museum boss is the hardest boss for this build in my opinion haste aura boss with chaos dmg boss am getting killed in secs.but after i die i just watch them burn to death and then i revive and collect loot. cant get chaos resist because am barely at other resist since getting perfect ring with mana regen is insane expensive the only important item for this build other than searing is getting movement speed boots this build can be tanky with getting regen passives near totems passives and inner buff effect for vitality and vwdt for frost wall,ic setup,flask passives this build is insanely sweet for killing torture chamber boss in whatever mods they keep. the bosses i try to avoid is graveyard,necropolis,jungle,museum |

" yes it doesn't proliferate curses but it prolifs the FREEZING effect, in a way this method does 2 things: 1. cold snap + prolif + aoe = FREEZING big packs 2. cold snap + curse + AOE = Hitting(cursing) big packs so in the 2nd point prolif is not needed for curses ofc, but it's used for freezing. I already know this works I tested 5L normal chest (I used only 1 curse instead of 2) the only thing up for debate is whether carass's 20% inc AOE is worth getting over CoD tankiness. |

Also keep in mind trash mobs are no problem for this build, so locking down tougher mobs with cold snap prolif + cursing the tougher mobs is already enough, the trash will die from the prolif ignites while the rare+ mobs will be frozen and double cursed.
The alternative is going ball lightning and and grabbing shock nodes for 50% more dmg, but I don't like that you lose the freezing mechanism. But who knows maybe with CoD you are tanky enough that you can afford it. Mawk has alot of work to do ;o |

" yeah, xD, im trying to do some variations for this build, but first i have to sell my headhunter belt in standard to get currency and buy some itens because i dont have anything in standard, just my chars and some ripped gears. variations im planning to do: 1: searing touch + carcass this is the original setup, im going to add decoy totem or cold snap for some defensive moves, 5/6link firetrap with more defenses this time 2: searing touch + cloak of defiance more defensive setup, lose some aoe and deeps but gains mana and MOM 3: searing touch + lightning coil this i dont think its worth because with LC im gonna respec to use 2 def auras 4: SHIELD version: Doryani's Catalyst + carcass + fcking good shield for ppls who have money, this will be a combo because the sceptre have ele prolif passive so the 3link will be cold snap + aoe + curse + free prolif other thing, for a plus damage, im thinking about using ELEMENTAL EQUILIBRIUM and COLD SNAP PROLIF, this will be awesome, so we dont need use 2 curses, just cold snap to proc EE + flamability will be enough This world is an illusion, exile!

you should add ball lightning + shock nodes to your tests.
As much as I like cold snap, it shatters the mobs if the initial explosion kills them = no prolifs. |
