About
The only objectives of this build:
  • Fast and cheap leveling to high-end content from scratch in new leagues
  • Farm maps/Piety/Dominus (not Atziri)
  • Get a good gear and currency for the future main char that will do 123456789dps



Pros and Cons
Pros:
  • No Uniques required
  • No 5/6 linked gear required
  • High Elemental Resistance
  • Decent Defence/Block/Life
  • Low gear-dependence
  • Not affected by any reflects
  • Can easily bend some ears
  • ...


Cons:
  • May seem tedious
  • Cannot leech mana/life
  • DPS limited around 11K
  • Lack of dexterity (not really needed but still...)
  • You can't deal Damage with your Skills yourself (for those who do not read the description of the skills...)
  • Mainly for solo-play.
  • ...



Passive Skill Tree Progression
  • Specify Ancestral Bond only if dps is 3k+ (around A1M).

Before Searing Bond


Will be one of the main skill for a long time. Watch out for Dexterity to not overlevel it. Once you specify Elemental Equilibrium do not use Fire Trap, otherwise the effect will be the opposite...


Meat shield... Although pretty useless on bosses.


Only useful in the early levels.


Single target attack, though I barely use it.


Fireball alternative.


Good mobility and decent AoE damage.


Zero mobility and high AoE damage. Use with caution.


One and only curse until you get Q20 Elemental Weakness and Elemental Equilibrium.
Searing Bond + Elemental Equilibrium
Attack (3L, Sceptre)

Last gem can be replaced as needed.

Empower must be at least level 2 to have an effect.


Curse

Will be used until you get Q20 Elemental Weakness.

No need to level it (at least until you can handle mana cost).

Auras
Build does not require any aura (of course this does not mean that you have to play without it ...) so that you can choose according to the situation and current gear.
Once you have a Reduced Mana around 16lvl you can use 3 auras - Clarity (around 5lvl), any 60% aura (for example Determination), Tempest Shield or Clarity + 2 40% auras (Vitality and Purity of Elements).


These auras are unlikely to be used (only if you do not have enough resist in gear)

Can be used at shortage of life (not save you from the chaos damage)

One of most recomended. Leave it around 5lvl to be able to use 3 auras.

Greatly increases your armour and survivability from the physical damage.

Used only for Additional 4% Shield Block Chance and Glamour.

Would be difficult to use because of the low dex.

Same as Grace.

Topical mainly for Blood Magic maps.

I'll test your build in Rampage league.
Currently leveling this in Beyond; what sort of gear are we looking at as we are leveling? I've never run a SB build before.
I'm leveling with armor and Evasion
ATM 42lvl fully self-found, 0 deaths. Normal Piety and Dominus did not caused me any problems.

Quick noobie question here, still going strong in A3, just picked up searing bond.

Once you pick up EE, how do you proc it while still maintaining good damage with Fire? Especially if you take Ancestral Bond?
To put it simply, any indirect elemental non-fire damage will do. I prefer Lightning Trap + Multiple Traps. But something like Trap + Multiple Traps + Ice Nova also possible.
Nice build. Thx for sharing it. Im using it in a1(M) now wondering if i should take ancestral bond. Does mobs take more damage hitting by two or three bonds?

Nope.
It will only increase the AoE because it will be 3 beams instead of 1.
