really cool build, im lvl 80 in rampage now and still BM, might switch at 83 after i bought an ES armor



i can pretty much run any map i like, my main problem tho is DEX, i had to go for 2x dex on my gear to level AA/Haste
not sure if i even gonna use haste later...

In a HC league, I'd go for health and EB first, and up that arc to a 5L using the extra mana fodder.

Now I'm on my way to MoM, should be there until I reach lvl70 or so at which point I can start mapping.

Thanks for the feedback! BM is a huge give-and-take skill and a lot of people aren't comfortable with it. I have no problem with BM and I think it’s a decent keystone especially for a block build, but the EB-clarity setup will be the comfortable one for many.

Sadly I cannot comply. When 1.2 came around I set up the build and optimized it for mapping and I actually have no currency in standard to revert the build to atziri-running. Yes, that includes chromatics.



If you're curious, this is my fortune in standard league. I squandered my currency expecting to never play in standard again. Can't even afford an Atziri set there. I was hoping to get Atziri runs going in Rampage as soon as possible, but my team needs me to run MF culler so I have to stick to that until I can afford several unique-item-challenge sets.

The only thing that really requires a ton of dex is Haste, so if that’s not on your list of things to get then you can definitely drop Haste and stop worrying about the dex requirement. I would run Herald of Ice for offense instead.

The gear you posted under Atziri is still fine right? I was just wondering how long did it take to clear her? (When you entered her lair)

And since I just got doryan's sceptre, is there anything you'd change to fight Atziri or to enhance the whole atziri running/farming process?

I'd love to do it at end-game and just farm the shit out of her. I'm currently just cleaning vaal area's using dusk's like crazy and trying to make currency.

Pretty funny though, not one vaal area boss can kill me. Even if I go afk... lol Tempest Shield usually kills them if I go afk..

Hello! I came back to PoE after a few months hiatus and I am loving your build so far!

One thing though, I see you're going for alira in the cruel acts. Is that any different then getting the passive and using it on 4% cast speed near the start of the tree?

Just had a Tabula Rasa drop .

Is it usable in this build ya think or should I just sell it and save for a Rathpith?

What do you think about adding Herald of Ice instead of Haste to our aouras for extra dps? You will have more mana left that way ans still get a dps boost.

So our auras most of the times would be: TS + clarity + herald of ice.

Sorry if that was answered somewhere in the thread.

Yea the gear is fine. I would personally get better gloves for my set and overcap the lightning res by about 50 or so so I can self-cast EW without a hitch.

Atziri's a little tough if you haven't had experience dealing with her. You just have to get used to the whole pattern of things. The atziri fight itself is around 6-7 minutes, not incredibly fast because of Arc's poor single-target DPS. I tried running storm call for the fight since it does have better DPS but it was actually pretty hard to hit her off-screen.

Also, make sure you have a TON of mana and mana regen and a couple topaz flasks, plus a nice flame totem. Her 4-form is somewhat deadly because the mirror saps your mana if you don't have over 300 mana/s and an amazing mana flask.

No difference, really. I just like having an extra bit of permanent cast.

Arc scales best with 5 links, and it suffers diminishing returns on the 6th link. I would personally stick to a 5L and get a Rathpith, but I wouldn't sell that since it has uses for other builds.

Yea, I meant to update the original post saying people can use HoI if they don't want Haste for either the reservation cost or the dex requirement. That is completely valid though.

I started Rampage with the intent of playing a support for friends, and it started getting boring. I've been playing your build since I'm still hurting for currency, and just absolutely love it so far. To see someone passionate enough over their build to answer any and all questions in such a detailed manner is awesome to see on the forums!

I was wondering-- would staying Blood Magic be viable? I kinda like this idea involving Arc, but I'm not too keen on the game after level 70, so I'm still a little new at maps and end game. Wondering if there was any potential there, but I'd imagine it could possibly get expensive.

Blood Magic was my way of keeping the cost and item requirement of the build really low, since only life + resists matter instead of life, resists, mana, ES, and mana regen. My hope is that the people running the build will get enough currency and pick up enough decent items to transition into an EB-MoM build before or around end-game. It wasn't meant to be a permanent solution, but I hear there are people at level 80+ running the BM setup without a hassle.

The BM build can definitely run high-level maps as long as you maintain a healthy level of offense via dual-curse while staying tanky with good gear. The only real concern from then on is the lack of Arctic Armour, which just means you'd have to be a tiny bit more cautious versus small and fast hits than the EB-MoM setup.
