A Cold Crit Witch Guide 2.0 (RE-DONE!) Check it out!

I´d prefer C

I keep checking this guide from day to day, and I find small tidbits of good info from alot of the posts. But I miss some info on gear, what to aim for, how to compare stuff, etc.

I realize that it comes down to different playstyles, but some general tips would really be handy, at least for me and I guess for some others as well. Things like: "aim for at least 200 ES on chest", "+1 to cold gems > 20% spelldamage on a wand", "12% freezing pulse equals 'faster projectiles gem'" would help out a lot when comparing gear and gazing over the shop forums.

Keep up the good work :D

shibloble dont mess around wasting time revamping everything. Just add stuff, step by step!

Im personally interested in GEMS! They decide play style. They are most in tune with skill tree.
Playing style defines items. So i vote for GEM combos comparison!

After that you can dive into items! :)
I swear if they make some maven "Simon says" insta-death minigame, sirus, exarch ball minigame then i wont play poe2.

I really do want to make a gem section, it' simply that I don't have enough experience with some of the bigger spells. Mosly totem based builds.

How is faster cast speed = less dps?

The faster you cast, the more dps and crit chances.

People only go no cast speed if they are noobs and run out of mana.

Less DPS *compared* to getting a damage boosting node instead.

Sorry if I wasn't clear before.

What I'm looking at ... is the fact that the faster casting nodes are usually 3%, as opposed to damage nodes being more like 6%. As we have only so many points to put into the skill tree, it's hard to know which to prioritize. ES, mana regen, cold/spell damage, crit chance ... and if we include faster casting and resistances, it becomes more difficult to plan out the build as we can run out of tree points pretty quickly.

This being a beginners guide i rather recommend:
How to survive on little money and still have enough left to pay the occasional hooker

How to start killing

Stay away from faster casting nodes in the beginning. You don't want to be the ADHD kid. Get ES instead. Girls fall for it. Makes you totally cuddly.

Fine tuning for the advanced rich (imagine some linked pictures because i sure as hell haven't got any high grade stuff):
You spend a bucket of exalts for some nice gear? Dump the skeletons. They smell funny anyway. Totem + ice spear for more damage.
Upgrade FP to 20% and replace faster projectiles with added chaos or some other extra damage stuff.
You are level 70 and don't know where to spend your skill points? Get faster casting.
Be fast, be deadly, be Bond! Kick ass and have all the girls you want!

That's one awesome post there, man. :D

Hey guys, I am not sure where I want to see this build go next, so I decided to let you guys choose. Simply go the the "guide", read the POLL section near the top and post a reply with the corresponding letter you would like to see. OR send me a message.

If no one decides to vote, I'll choose one myself.

A or C. I kinda like what the tread is doing. An item section might be cool, but I'm not sure if it's needed or not. Maybe it is, and I just don't know it, hehe.

B might be nice, but would take a LOT of work and I'm not sure this thread's functionality has run its full course yet. Twenty-something pages is getting up there, but it's not ridiculous yet, is it?

As it is, if someone follows this thread they're going to learn a lot. Like I am. :)

This is actually a really good idea IMO.

Edit: I should have read the later reply before posting this.

I didn't mean making a new thread, but taking this one down for a day or 2 sometime, and revamping it then (organize better, table of contents), if this option isn't chosen I will simply "add" the revamp slowly.

Except he has freezing pulse and faster projectiles??? I don't know how many times people have to say freezing pulse + lmp. You can literally play up to level 60 and beyond with ONLY freezing pulse and LMP. No other supports. FP faster projectiles will get you to 35 before you start wanting to reroll because you kill things slower than an equivalent level wander with no gear...

That's one awesome post there, man. :D
Didnt read the whole thread but maybe you could add something like:
What passives to get till a certain level.

Atm im lvl 44 act2 cruel and its really hard.
Having trouble with mobs that do high psysical dam or in areas with alot of archers (fel)

I kinda need resistance nodes, crit strike nodes mana nodes and es nodes - thats too much at once.
Got decent gear and im using fp+lmp+faster projectiles + crit chance. (i sometimes add faster casting/lightning dam but running out of mana then.

Gonna play abit more for sure to see if it gets any better - was really fun till cruel and my damage is still great - its just hard to survive. I get interrupted, stunned, frozen...

Sure i could add skel totem or something like that but i already have a high level summoner and wanted to play something different :)
Maybe you can give me some advice. Feels really hard to play that type of build compared to my archer / summoner / marauder at that level...
