Show me something thats actually new and exciting and surprising.

You successfully trolled me.

I don't think he was trolling. It's rather disappointing for me too.
Kind of feels like PoE going casual. Personalizable hideouts (housing)? That's generally what happened to all the games I liked before they wen't down the drain. I have faith in Poe though. I have fait...

Here are some more questions for you Chris:

1)What about Vaal Gems? Are new ones continued to being added?

2)Will there be more end-game related content you have to work towards to? Such as Atziri? Something that actually provides a challenge?

3)Having the Masters sit at your Hideout - how does that fit with the lore? Have they been cloned for every player to grab one? Not that it matters of course - but for some reason this bothers me the most.

4)What's the current state on the desynch issue?

Regarding 3)
I think that lore is not really an issue there. As well you could ask how it fits into lore that you can kill certain bosses multiple times in the same difficulty or why there are 4 people in some towns and at the same time around 20 warriors...
The much bigger question is - who the hell needs hideouts? The game needs way more content to play through rather than weird hideouts that actually dont add much to the game experience. The game needs new acts and for sure also improvements of existing ones. The game is too much about simply grinding right now, often not giving real challenge as long as u got the right build and items (whereas some builds and skills unfortunately currently are really weak in comparison to others). Seriously, instead of making a hideout the focus should lie on more acts and more diverse AI enemies, this is what REALLY matters.

4)
Desynch is the biggest issue for me right now. If you don't have massive AoE then the desynch basically makes the best build a trash-build. Also it drains the fun of playing a lot if you are completely detached from the actual game world and your actions have only delayed or no effect constantly even with 50ms ping..
EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC EPIC !! CANT WAIT TO PLAY THE NEW CONTENT OMG OMG OMG !!
Really epic, cant wait for the crafting changes and cant wait what we can purchase from the NPCs.
Took a month+ break from PoE, thought there wasn't any way it could be more than what it was (grinding, always and only grinding).

Checked latest announcement on this expansion, just wow. I'm actually looking forward to playing this game again! Good times, hope it reduces the overall impact of high-end uniques so people can create niche builds without worrying over so much RNG.

Just play the game again, for fun's sake, not as much endless map grind for the love of potatoes.

Kudos!

There is some good to be had in this coming update, of course, but it's much akin to continuing to cook a gourmet meal after discovering that something foul got mixed inside by accident or design. GGG is doing good stuff here but that should not excuse the absolute lack of real communication about desync or how to fix it. That horse isn't dead, it's ravenous and undead and is destroying both the integrity of the game and the integrity of the developers.

Well said! Continuing to bring up desync certainly isn't akin to beating a dead horse. We want updates on the issue. We want to see progress. Is that so much to ask?
I hope the crafting tables will allow less fortunate players to get the gear they need to get the gear they want. Id say allow them to put the roll or rolls they want on the item but be more and more costly with each tier of the roll. However it would have to be tuned nicely to keep everyone happy. Id say start it at the price of a transmutation and then eventually work it up to the price of 10 or more chaos to get the top tiers of that specific roll. Make a very good to near perfect item for the price of 3 to 6 exalts or something. Yes the rich people who have invested a lot of time will take a kick to the nards so lets put something in for those guys so they just don't flat out leave. The question is what tho? Suffice the needs of the many and the few. Basing it around an item would leave us with a lesser version of the problem people being jealous and wanting all the stuff the few have. Make it like 25 30 exalts gives you 5 more skill points one time only or like a purchasable bandit rewards kinda thing so they are left happy. Truth is a lot of people leave this game before they even know what the good gear and fun parts are let alone even seeing more than 3 chaos in their stash. Or maybe like 30 exalts to modify an existing gem to deal a different kind of damage and change its color or something so they could still come up with unique builds and skills people will strive towards. I dunno just suggestions i am hyped for this the most interesting progress i have seen from GGG since i started playing.
