But trap is not a spammable skill, and how much crit chance u can get, around 20%? Every 5th trap can crit...
How much dmg u can deal with crit? Double/triple of the avg trap dmg? That's not bad, but if we count that you loose extra burn dams, and it's 'independent' from chance, or it's not cuz of chance to burn%, but that % is so high, it's easily more than 70%, so most of your fire trap can burn. And it's two kind of burn dmg, from fire paths and from burn what caused by explosion of fire trap. |

Anyways fire trap + 1-2 flame surge multi-traps can kill everybody. @Expedition: It's so far from passive tree path what i use, not worthy at all. Also I love more the burn dmg, than others. Also you needs that burn chances, dams at the top of the tree. |

@KisBali Your setup looks great. Lots of dmg, especially buring. I guess that works as defens aswell: you kill 'em faster than they can kill you. Whats your hp/ar/ev/es? I got a similar tree, but with acrobatic / without 'Written in Blood' and Witch Dmg Nodes: Tree My gear is quite low and I end up with 4.2k hp, 2000ev, close to no armor/es. Huh, I already restat it to incinerater, to farm atziri, but it was smth like that:
Low es/eva - It's around ~400 es / 3000 eva 0 armor On higher lvl, with high life items (I had a different amulet + gloves before I restat) life was around 4,5k. Burn dmg was (the path of fire trap) 2,1k, avg explosion dmg of traps: 2,5k, avg dmg of flame surge (1 trap from 3) 3,5k (+ 50% dam from burning ground, etc..) I did lvl78 Courtyard map once (only one cuz i did not find another one.. :D) It's still a great build, and I'm thinking to rebuild it again, cuz I did not sell most of the items. Anyways I will climb with this build in next league again, cuz it's freakin awesome! Maybe I will do something different, and get some block. That's the only part what I will reconsider. |

Due to certain circumstances, I haven't been able to update the guide to 1.2, like I intended to do. I will try to offer support for the 1.3 release. I can't promise it will be a full update, but the most vital parts(skill tree/gems/gear)will be updated for the 1.3 release :)

I started a new Shadow toon to test out this build a couple of weeks ago, and then got crazy busy with work.
Now, with more then half the recommended gems and the two main pieces of gear, the toon is at level 51 and about to take on Dom in Cruel on Standard.* *I am new to PoE in a big way, and have been trying to trade for gems, but it's crazy slow going. Also, I don't have enough currency to go hog wild with slot, link and color upgrades to my current gear either, and I am still pretty squishy. I also got slowed down by having to repeat certain zones because of DC's and suddenly realizing it was 1 am and I was only halfway through a zone. Having said this, it's a very fun build. At first I had issues with PewPew's old skill tree, but after reading some of the more recent posts in the thread, I was able to identify the key nodes required to make the build work at higher levels. The amount of damage this toon can do now is not half of what it can do in another 10 levels, and even now it's pretty amazing to watch. If you like fire, this is an awesome build. Much thanks for putting this build in the forums! |
