I honestly like both options, however I probably would go with cloak of defiance. It is in general a stronger item and it would allow you to skimp on the defences of other items and in turn focus on more damage from those. It is up to you mate both options are very viable :)

Just wanted to stop by and give this build a thumbs up!!! I started playing a couple of days before this league (Beyond & Rampage), and so far really enjoying this game. Anyways just wanted to share how this build worked for a n00b.... it's AWESOME! Just did my first map ever Crypt very easy. Btw I only used 4 chaos and 1 fuse so far and it's only because I couldn't wait for Echo and Cast when damage taken to drop found the rest of my gear.
