[1.3 VIDEO GUIDE] PoE Beginners Build The Carpet Bomber, Fireball Witch EB, AA [HC/SC viable]

I'm leveling in cruel right now and at level 48 this build is really starting to feel limited by only being able to hit the front of packs. It's not too late for me to transition into an arc build on this character. I really love the "fire and explosions" theme though. Does the problem of always needing to melt the front to get to the back of the pack rather than killing all simultaneously get any better with higher levels?

I'm currently running 4-link Fireball + Fire Penetration + Conc Effect + GMP
First off, let me say thank you for posting this amazing build and highly detailed guide! I am brand new to the game and was really having a hard time staying alive in merciless act 3 maps with my former witch build. When Forsaken masters was released and everyone got a respec, I decide to try this build out instead. What a difference it made!

I am currently lvl 69 and completely destroying maps with super speed and the defenses are very good as well. I haven't been able to beat lunaris temple yet so I am farming docks for xp but I can say that I'm confident that I can annihilate piety once I gain some better gear and a few more levels. The only time I die now is due to lag which unfortunately is quite bad in this game for me.

Anyway, I have one question, I've been using the Three Dragons Helm to shock with my fireballs instead of ignite. Is this a bad idea? Do I lose a lot of potential DPS by doing this? Thanks again for the build guide and for any response!

Your problem is that you are casting your wave of fireballs way too slowly without the spell echo skill-gem. Getting that and adding a few levels to it makes a big difference :)

Thank you very much for your kind feedback EtherealDiablo :)

Actually I like the idea behind using the Three Dragons Mask, however if you want to make full use of that item you need to change a few things in the skill-tree. I personally think it would be better to get a really good high energy shield based helmet, with lots of life and resistances. That will both improve your mana regen (for AA), hp pool and make it a lot easier for you to gear up the rest of the character :)

Make sure to check the OP for a list of recommended uniques for this build :)

hi mate,

First of all, i wanna thank you for your effort to show us this build=)

Im keeping your instructions and it works fine for me. Im level 76 now and it is going pretty well.

I wanna ask something that itching my mind. In this build we are using only fire damage. Why dont we use AVATAR OF FIRE to benefit physical and other source of damage in our wand or other sources from gear ?

Thanks for your time=)

spells dont benefit from weapon damage modifiers ;), try on ring with some +dmg stats ( +8-16 ice for example) - it wont change your fireball dps because it is not affected by it. same applies to weapon physical damage.
this build is so nice, killing dom atm with 230 IIR,verry fun to do
btw,any thought on how to build for power charge on crit?,think i gonna buy the dagger,so then i could go for that build

But + % to spell damage, does. correct?
Rose: You're an alien? You sound like you're from the North.
Doctor: LOTS of planets have a North!!!
Awesome build, i've been following it, and I am level 70 now. i highly recommend you guys to get the atziri foible amulet if you are gonna do this build. Not only it helps with mana regen, especially early on but also grrants -25% attribute reqs which helps with running GMP and Reduced Mana. And you can get it pretty cheap, I think I got mine for 2-3 chaos.

I have 320 mana regen per second, without running discipline, just from clarity and gear, and I am running lvl18 AA with Inner Force, so I opted for purity of Lightning instead of Discipline for now, to help with the gearing.

My goal now is to get a six link, and add Faster Casting. Anyways thanks man for the build, here is the gear I am wearing.
