This is not about easiness, this is about having a responsive and intuitive UI that facilitates fast-paced, fluid, and dynamic combat. And it's also about avoiding carpal tunnel and the unnecessary early death of our mouse buttons.
Seriously, the game isn't about fighting the UI. If this would make it "too easy", would you recommend removing hotkeys, as they make it "too easy" to use skills? Give me a break. |

I agree. I spend most of the battle accidentally running around hoping that clicking on the enemy will actually work. It seems like you have to get just the right place on the enemy and if it moves while you're trying to click you are screwed. Something similar to Diablo II would really help make this a lot more fun and less annoying in battle.

I am behind this 100%. I don't think it makes the game easier, it just makes it less tedious. Oftentimes there will be small or hard to click enemies around where mages have a huge advantage because they can just AoE them to death, but single-target attackers get shafted. I never played Paladins in D2 exclusively for this reason, as the auras always took right click so I could never walk and attack. Definitely needs to be implemented.

I don't know if melee characters really benefit from this suggestion, but as an Archer (ranger with a bow) I'd say we really need adjustments in the combat system, because it is really hard to hit things and the pace is really slow. Of course, a change like this isn't as small as it seems, I would imagine. And you, kind of, get used to the current system after a while.
And from what I've seen in "higher-level gameplay" it's all about AoE dmg, where you don't spend much time in auto-attacking (ex: Witch spamming triple fireballs). "Rock is Overpowered. Paper is fine."

This is definitely one of the most over looked features from the previous generation of aRPGs. Should be in the game from day 1!

I 100% agree with the right click driving post for melee. It helps a ton. its not about making PoE easier like someone else said. Any ranged character has no problem because they can just hgold shift and spam multishot and hit everything but melee is way different and we need right click driving for melee to be non tedius.
I tried using the hotkeys but once an enemy I had clicked on dies I will stop swinging and have to click on another enemy. Its a pain. With my ranger I just spam arrows until dead and its just too EZ. Ranged attackers don't have this problem at all. IGN: YeahCrit
