I'm not sure where you're getting at, to be honest. are you trying to say that Knockback + increased aoe is bad synergy? because that's simply not true. it's simply a defensive Qol link choice to keep heavy hitting physical attackers like Kole and the like, away from me, since i have very little armor from my gear at the moment. Also, if the paper dps is the strength of one pulse, then logically having that dps raised would be a good thing, thus raising the overall dps of the balls. Quite frankly, i'm not sure i'm catching what you're suggesting i do about my supposedly "ruined" clear speed.

Also, i just record through obs, if that's your way of asking a quick how to. Here's what i did to my settings, i'll just put it into a spoiler.

i say that aoe+knockback is a very strong synergy but youve stopped halfway trough and now have half-working synergy

difference between 40% inc aoe and 90% inc aoe is huge (both in pure radius as in mobs affected). the more hits > the more knockbacks > the more hits..

it is an explosive scaling and going just 'a little' into aoe is cutting it

lmp/gmp is a very bad idea with this skill - never suggested using it

How are you even getting 90% increased aoe? even with all the radius nodes, along with a 20/20 increased aoe gem, i only get 83% aoe. are you using a Carcass jack by chance? because that would require the build to drop MoM, unless i'm missing something.

Maybe using a Divinarius dagger, and 6l Cloak of Defiance, instead of the staff, but you'd be losing your level 30 echo, and all that mana.

You probably missed the AoE nodes of the scion wheel. With those and a 20q 20/20 AoE gem you can get to 95%.

im uploading my clear speed 'test' on the same map you did to YT right now so you can see how it looks with my crap gear (i really have less wealth combines than your 6L staff..). sadly had to cut only ~40 secs of it due to my internet upload being.. not that great


yes, i use carcass jack. i have 2 5L Cloaks of Defiance waiting but decided against MoM due to not really requiring more defenses atm (knockback)


in the video youll see full volley into reflect pack and me breezing through it without paying much attention. in general i was more concerned about recording than playing so this is a little bit more risky approach than my usual style.

Given that you don't use MoM, as well as a multitude of other skills that i don't find are needed, i think our two builds are simply two different styles of play, and i prefer mine, so i suppose there's not much more to be said. Though i do like your version, i just don't intend to turn the guide on it's head on account of one person.

Moving on, i added a leveling guide, with 20 point at a time passive trees for anyone feeling intimidated by the finished tree.

well, yes, i do not use MoM (but i can try it latter, just for the lols). I use MoM on my incinerate/detonate dead char (mainly to save me from reflect DD crits that are extreme in high maps) but even then i have 4k hp

you have ~2900? this is too low for endgame, even with AA and MoM. MoM saves you only from 30 (or 40% with CoD) damage, that remaining 60% lands on life and frankly speaking 2900 will get you killed pretty soon

as for the playstyle - i did not comment on that. i just wanted to let you know that there is something terribly wrong with your clear speed. your staff is amazing for BL - and you with 7Link clear at similar pace than I do with 5Link. if i got this staff, even 5Linked, my clear speed should literally DOUBLE (Due to that echo).

and i think that reason for that is limited investment into AOE on your side - as this is THE key to BL potential

btw - if you are into lightning build anyway - try Vaal Storm Call. it is amazing

btw2 - after watching my video i realized that i cast BL too many times and several of these balls hit noone. this is also area of (my) improvements related to clear speed

You also seemed to miss the part where i'm currently leveling, i.e. currently incomplete, the build, as such, the health is something that will be at least partially fixed when i'm fully leveled and properly geared. Regardless, i don't intend to endless argue with you over my build choice, i appreciate the feedback, but this has grown old. i'm not scrapping half my tree to grab aoe nodes and what have you, and that's all that really needs to be said.

I agree with the fact that Nito's build isn't 100% efficient but lol get off your fucking high horse, your build isn't exactly amazing either when you have a Arc totem and Vaal Storm Call doing 40% work for you with your pitiful cast speed.

Let Nito make his build thread and stop trying to highjack it with your mediocre build.
