This build really interests me, but I don't want to play a Witch. Is it possible to convert it for a Shadow?

Here is what I came up with for the same amount of points. I plan on picking up the Curse keystones at higher levels, but for starting Merciless ledge runs, is this viable?

The node shield block and defences you take with this build when you go for CI what does it do?
Is the 15% increased defences increasing ES or just evasion/armor? or all 3? i need to go abit more into es nodes to feel safe thats why i want to know what it does if i should pick it up or not and go for a es node instead |

Pretty big nerf but I think it will still be very viable. The crit chance is massive because the base amount of the skill determines how well it scales with crit gear/passives, so dropping from 6% to 4% is actually a lot.

what gem add as 5th? increased critical damage or lighting penetration?

" Increased crit damage is only worthwile if your crit chance is good (ie if you have specced into the crit chance nodes - as the gem does nothing except increase your mana cost unless you crit) - lightning penetration however does not require a critical hit to be of benefit. Crit or non crit lightning penetration always occurs for your sparks. Ask yourself why would you want crit damage if you have a very low chance to crit.
