I've tried 2 or 3 ice witches builds with no sucess (not the build problem, but my style of playing).
As I'm a new player and just started hardcore, its so scary when u get to lvl 20-30 (for me at least), every map i got i think im going to die hahaha. Thats why i want to try lighting witch, the spark is awesome because i don't have to get close to mobs to atk them! |

How to get more dps on my spark ?? I'm LV 74 and i see one witch lv 77 with 1kdps on spark.. omg w/o RF!

I'm lvl 83, with gems at lvl 19, and I run with full MF gear 62/198 without IRI IQI gems, and my dps is 964, ES 6500 buffed, and resists 83/70/83 buffed. I have spare gear than I can bump IRI to 370+ with gem for groups if I have to. Hello again everyone. I managed to get my witch to level 76, but like many people around here my DPS are kinda low, only 340 DPS. I got a 5L armor finally and I wonder if I should be using Added Lightning Damage instead of Lightning Penetration. I noticed that with Added Lightning Damage I can get 400 DPS. Should I use it instead or stick with LP?

" Lightning Penetration will reduce the mob's resists, and work better than lighting damage. Once you level up your gems, and get better equipment, the build really shines. I was at one stage with 650 dps, and I was having a really hard time, my totems keep dropping in front of mobs etc. Then once I hit 850 dps, and my totems hit lvl 18 or 19, everything just drops real quick, and my totems rarely get dropped. I tried Low Life with Rightous Fire, and I got 2000 dps, but it didn't really make a huge difference in terms of killing speed, but I was like blind in indoor maps, and getting 1 shotted by chaos mobs... So I gone back to CI and been happy ever since =) IGN: AchiLize

Okay guys
I'm still looking to buy a whole set of gear for lvl 69 with standard build posted in the OP for this lvl. I have ~10 exalteds. (HC) Now I've been talking to people selling Windscreams and that unique gloves and they both go for 1 exalted but for a perfect res rolled Windscream some ppl want more than 1 exalted and I'm not sure if it's worth it or they're trying to make me pay more than it is worth. Also I've been reading this topic and I'm not even sure anymore what uniques I need. Do I need Both Windscreams and the Maligaro's gloves? If so what do you think they worth? I'd get a 14 or max rolled resist Windscreams and higher rolled dex and crit Maligaros. Also I just realized once I get the shield resist nodes I'll sit at 0/0/15 resist with no items equipped which means I need 75 from gear don't I? If so how on earth does the OP have capped resist with the gear linked there? Well yea that's it, I could get a really good 700+ ES chest with double resist for 4 exalted which would leave me at 5 or 6 more, 1-1 for both those uniques if I need them and then the rest 3 or 4 exalteds I could spend on a shield, wand and one or two better jewelery, probably an ammy with cast speed and spell dmg and a ring similar to that. |

It's pretty decent. Add some scraps to it and make it 20% and you'll be fine for a short while.
You'll eventually want to get to 300+ and then 400+ ES on your shield IGN: Aereic

so does the OP now recommend we do ice spear / lmp / faster casting power charge instead of spark / fork? i was glancing a few previous pages and i think he mentioned he would switch. maybe i misunderstood? can i get some clarification plz and which is better? i ask cuz i found a quality spark and a quality ice spear today and was thinking of trying a dual totem build. thanks
