Dominion's Hardcore Dual-Spark CI Witch - UPDATED for 1.0.1

started with a templar and I'm following the guide except I'm lvl 69 now, finished merciless but didn't switch to CI yet because I lack decent ES gear - this is my first hc char.
My question: Eye of chayula, I always thought this is must have for CI builds to avoid risk of getting stunlocked to death.
I see a lot of people rather use crit/spelldamage amus, so how do you avoid getting stunned?
any experience with and without the amu? - I don't like to play too defensive and fear every hit all the time so I tend to buy it before switching to CI.

I never used the eye. You need to play safe though because getting caught in attacks that rapidly hit you will be the end of you most likely.

I feel like amulets have a lot to offer in terms of stats/damage/resists that using the eye for this specific build is probably a mistake. Since your totems do the attacking you don't need to really worry too much about being constantly interrupted while casting.

Yep.

About 20% of my damage comes from my amulet. And since I'm usually behind my totems, I rarely get stun locked.

Yes but I am pretty sure Light pen is much better. It all depends what your DPS is atm I run Item rarity and quantity gems insted of Crit + Light pen my dps is at 950dps then. I works just fine but I run only 66-69 Maps as I only solo and dont seem to get any higher maps hehe.

But it is fun to run with 170 IQ and 120 IR :)

I'm on 942 dps (20Q lvl 19 Spark) 6500 ES buffed, and 62IQI 198 IRI, but yeah Light Pen is a big dmg increase in battle.

Once I get 6L and better shield I can swap for better MF gems.


How do you get 170 IQ???!!!

I only have about 1k tooltip dps with a spark shadow.
